SERIOUSLY??. I have been tanning at Limelight for years now and lately it's been awful. I have walked up to the door and it's locked with the open sign on. The employee's aren't the best customer service oriented. and the past TWO weeks it's been closed. I recently bought a package and i haven't used it at all. I have wasted gas money and parking meter money because it hasn't been open. I cannot believe they are running a business like this. Seriously never tan there never ever. They are closed most of the time, you will never see your money ever again.
Employee's missing???. I've been going here for a little over a year for tanning and have loved it, but recently the place seems to be slipping. In the last month I have come to a locked door, while the "open" sign is still on in the middle of the day, three times. One of these instances the girl who was working was on the sidewalk arguing on her cell phone with someone and smoking a cigarette and pretended to not notice me there (I've seen her before working, so I know she had to be the one on shift). After waiting about ten minutes I just walked away, right past her and she didn't say a word. You'd think if you want a customer base you'd at least apologize and ask for 5 mins. In the last month I have wasted parking money, three times, for nothing, because the employees are on break or just not around.

I've been tanning for three decades now, visiting salons across North America and Europe. For the last three years, Limelight has totally fit the bill for me with regard to service, location, cost, facilities (I hate the beds with the blanked out corners and they don't have them), and hours. The staff has always treated me well, even letting me store my BIG fan at the salon so I don't have to drag it in and out every day. They generously stay longer if I can't get out of work soon enough before they close. They have great specials and discounted tans and items. The dog someone mentioned seeing there was a SERVICE DOG, allowed into every business. I saw that dog and remarked on how beautiful it was. Large? Yes. But so what. It's a SERVICE DOG. If it were me who could not get around without a service dog, I'd be very upset if people got irritated that my dog escorted me into businesses. If, as a customer, something happened that you didn't like, then say something to the staff. Complaining in a review doesn't resolve the matter. For my friends and me, Limelight is THE GREATEST.
wtf?. So I got to limelight last night and I'm already running a little behind and I try to go in and there's a note on the door saying "be right back". Um what? So I got back into my car and waited for two minutes and then another lady tried to go in and I told her about the sign so she just sat down on the steps. When the girl came back five minutes later (from buying a redbull) she let us in and but helped the other woman first even though I had been waiting longer. When I finally got to tan my bed looked dirt on the inside and the head pillow slid around every time I moved. The atmosphere inside is nice, it's in a loft, but there is no vanity! I don't know about you other ladies but a lot of my makeup comes off after a tan, but they had nowhere to reapply your makeup (I ended up having to do it in their leaky bathroom). Of course I tried to ask the girl at the desk but she was on the phone, and it wasn't a business call. When I came out after all this there was a HUGE dog between me and the exit. It was a great dane or something but it came up past my hip. It was just tied to the lobby desk and the desk girl was still on the phone. I tried to ask her who's dog it was and if it was nice which she answered in one word answers because, yep you guessed it, she was still on the phone. She actually said sorry to the person on the phone because she had answered , my, the customers! questions. Furhtermore, I'm allergic to animal hair, and while I didn't get a reaction from it, that's really not something one usually worries about when they go tanning. Even though the tans are only five dollars I think I'll try somewhere else.
Worst Customer Service Experience EVER!.
I made an appointment for a spray tan on Wednesday & when I arrived, the front desk girl said that the owner had decided that he wanted to apply the tan, but that he wasn't going to be in for another 20 - 30 minutes. I didn't have time to wait, so I rescheduled for lunch the next day. They then called me later that night to reschedule AGAIN for Thursday evening. I arrived that evening and the owner had left, saying that I was late (the girl who made the appointment the night before had put down the wrong time in the scheduling book). Considering the circumstances, I would think that they would've called me to double check that I was coming & not just write me off!
My time was wasted, the girl at the front desk didn't take ownership of the problem & when the owner called me later he ended up yelling at me! Very unprofessional all around. I wasn't tan for my event on Friday and I am telling ALL of my friends about what a horrible waste of time & $$$ this place is.
Awesome.... So i tan a lot and just got a new job located out by the airport so i thought i would try out something close to me. Well I had been to Limelight once before a yera or so ago, and decided i would go there since it was the only thing close by... I had an amazing experience and the bulbs in the bed were so hott! I left there bright red from my tingler and it now is wearing off, but i will def. be going there again :)
Frustrating First Experience. I am an experienced tanner, and have really heard nothing but good things about LimeLight, so needless to say, I was a little disappointed with my experience. The girl running the place had her little boy there with her because she couldn't find a babysitter? Understandable I guess, but he was very bratty and rude to the customers sticking his tongue out and he snagged my bottle of lotion off the counter while she went up to show someone how to use the bed, and broke a plastic piece off of it because he wanted it and told his mom that "he lost it." I got it back, but it was just awkward because I didn't want to be rude to him. I used a Level 3 bed and the facial bulbs did NOT work. I had to slide all the way down so that the "regular" bulbs could give me some color. I didn't say anything to her before I left, but I kind of just felt like I wanted to get out of there. She was very nice, but I just think it's an unprofessional and un-inviting environment when your kid is being rude and bratty to the customers. :( I don't know if I'll be back.
Waste of Money. I went in with plenty of spray-on tanning experience, I followed the counter-girl's instructions perfectly, and my tan came out splotchy and horribly streaked. The manager (who was not there, but was called on the phone) blamed the poor tan on me and refused a refund. Horrible customer service, would not recommend to ANYONE.
