I love this place – I would have to say I had some reservations after I read some of the reviews but when I called to make my
appointment the girl that answered was more then helpful I got lost and they helped me find my way over 2 or 3 phone calls. I had so much fun getting my hair done and my new stylist cyndi dose the very best A- line ever
it is just what I was looking for. Thank you for best haircut i have ever had.
Great Salon – This is a great salon. Ive been going to static for a while now and I have always been very happy great cut and color very talented team not to stuffy very down to earth and fun.
The older lady downstairs is a little grumpy but the stylist are worth it.
LOVE Static Salon – I've been (and have taken my not-so-enthused boyfriend) to Static Salon several times.. I've always been thrilled with thier work and have recommended several out of town-ers go there. NEVER been disappointed- Love it!!!!
Worst Salon in UTAH!!!!! – I was looking for a wonderful day at the salon on my birthday. and I ended up with one of the worst days of my life. First there was a very rude receptionist with a big attitude. To make matters worse i had gone in to take out some of the dark color in my hair... didnt happen i ended up with a big brassy gold mess! i thought my tan might go over a little better but i was wrong on that end too. I use to work at a tanning salon so i know alot about the tanning beds. The bulbs felt as if they haden't been changed in ages and the whole experience was absolutely terrible! I believe the only good reviews on here were prob from the employees! haha DON'T FALL INTO THIS THEIR TRAP! you will leave feeling very upset
Great salon, especially Jennie! – I've been to Static twice now. My salon moved across town, and I really wanted something in walking distance from my condo. My boyfriend has been going to Jennie for a few years, so I decided to give her a try.
Jennie has given me the two best haircuts I've ever had. I'm not adventurous at all with my hair - in fact I'd had essentially the same haircut since high school because of a crazy cowlick on the side of my forehead and my general inability to style my hair. Jennie was able to teach me to control the cowlick by using a specific blow-drying strategy - I'm even able to have bangs now. Except for when I go camping and bathe in the woods, I never even see the cowlick anymore. She also taught me which products to use, and how much. She was very specific and helpful, and I get compliments on my hair all the time now. Three women at the office have gotten bangs and told me I inspired them. That definitely never happened before.
She can do it all - I've seen a very avant-garde style she did on another girl (when they opened the salon for the gallery stroll), and then mine is more classic while avoiding my former Marcia Brady look. My boyfriend definitely has a modern but professional look, and I saw a punk-ish guy whose hair she cut - she'd done really cool sketching all over the sides, and it looked awesome! She definitely takes into account your lifestyle, face shape, and personality before she creates your look. I would recommend her to anybody.
The salon is cool and modern, and way clean. It's huge too! The people were all friendly to me, and totally welcoming. The salon is full of cool, interesting art, and it changes each time I go.
Parking may be a challenge, but it's seriously only a block from the Trax station.
Amazing Salon! and Amazing Stylist Jamie! – I had never been to static salon before and my first time visit was much more than what I had expected!
The atmosphere was so welcoming and everyone there was so friendly!
I was skeptical at first because the girl was a new stylist but she did an amazing job! like she had been doing hair for years! She did exactly what I wanted and was very professional. She showed me exactly how to do my hair and what products would work best! I would defiantly recommend Static Salon to everyone!
Worst Hair extension experience – I hate to write a bad review, Im not that type of person, but I feel like I got duped out of 600 bucks and I have been crying for three days over this. I got hair extensions 8 days ago and they are already falling out, there are clumps of hair all over my house. Not only that you can see the wefts of hair coming through all over the place. That upsets me because I specifically asked her if that would happen and if it would, Id just get a hair cut instead, and she said they wouldnt. The braids they are sewn to have slipped (and vey crookedly) down at least an inch in some places, and completely out on one row. The "hand tied" hair I paid almost 300 bucks for is unravelling all over the place, large peices of it fall out all the time, and threads from it, and the thread that was used to sew them in stick straight out of the back of my head and are visible. They looked good for exactly two days. I was given no instruction on how to care for them, I asked several questions regarding care and was told only the two following things "use a heat protector, and be careful combing them". After washing them, they looked like a horse tail, and I was laughed at (literally) by two girls in a store. I wasnt told to use special products which I have since discovered is a neccessity, nor the other long list of things you must do to keep them looking normal. I just figured out how to care for them, courtesy of a hair forum, and now they are FALLING OUT! I paid 600 bucks to wear hats on my head for a week! Of the three rows only one is still completely intact. I had a consult where none of my questions were really adressed, that should have clued me in. The stylist seemed more concerned with getting paid, than with answering any questions. The place also had the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. Its like they managed to find all the rude girls from high school and employ them in one place. Youd be better off buying clip on hair, you would be happier!
Great Colorists...everything else was a bit average – I have been to static a few times now, utilizing a variety of the services. As far as tanning goes, the beds werent anything spectacular, and a little over priced. I recently had a hair color and cut, and although the color was amazing (it was a corrective color too) I would have appreciated ANY instruction on how to do it or care for it (this is something I feel all good stylists should do). I didnt get any reccomendations on products or tools or how to do it, in fact I asked and was met with a shoulder shrug and a "just use what your using". It was a complicated razor cut and I have no idea how to do it, so it just looks like a mangy rodent, and I have been wearing hats, and scarves to hide it (until it grows out). I didnt appreciate that they acted bothered when I asked how to do my own haircut. The other person who said that the staff was rude was dead on, the staff and the receptionists acted like it was a huge bother to acknowledge me, let alone help me with anything (other than take my money) I got the impression that the stylist wasnt happy to do my hair because she thought I didnt have a lot of money (which I do, it was just a scroungy day), she seemed a bit condescending too. The only thing worth doing there is the thermal body wraps...sadly there isnt any other salons in the area that I know offer that service. If your going to spend that much on a haircut there are far nicer and higher end salons in the downtown area that will give you more individualized attention and decent customer service.
BEST TANNING AND HAIR SALON PERIOD. – Hey guys!! I just wanted to tell you thank you for giving me an awesome stylist. I tan there all the time -Love my tan:) and decided to try upstairs. I am a natural redhead but I like to play with my own reds (and believe me, you can go really wrong if you don't know what you are doing). I was cheap one day and dyed my own hair, which turned into a disaster. Now all I wanted is to get it back to my own hue or at least close to it. Cyndi turned out to be a brilliant colorist, she prescribed me a shade that was a bit more brilliant than my own, but nicely faded into my own red. I haven't colored my hair 2 months, and you still can't even tell the difference between my own roots and the color job :) So anyway, if she can fix a complicated redhead such as myself, I can only wonder what she can do with easier colors. You guys rock!! - Tasha
Static Salon – I LOVE LOVE LOVE MY NEW HAIR !!!!!
I have never gone into a salon and had someone take so much time to
help me decide what would work best for my hair as a result i got the best
cut and color i have ever had.
