Never again.. Hubby and I went to China Wok tonight because of the reviews on google and I've been wanting Chinese. We are new to the area and wanted something close by.

It is a tiny place and we were the only ones there. But the first thing I noticed was that it smelled of sea food. (Not a big fan of fishy smells.) But we ordered anyway. Their menu seems to have a really good variety. But if you don't specify what size you want (pint or quart) they automatically give you the bigger.

We ordered beef w/broccoli, general tso's, ham fried rice and chicken / beef lo mein. The food came out quickly. Each of the main entrées were supposed to have white rice included, but they didn't give it to us. So I asked for it and felt like I was annoying them. *shrug*

Okay, quality of food.

Beef w/Broccoli - broccoli was a little undercooked but was fine, the beef was strange. Not good. It was slimy and reminded me of canned cat food in color and general look. I could only stomach one bite, and that was a stretch. Dish was almost tasteless.

General Tso's - very bland too. Not spicy. Looked good, but just didn't have any real taste to it. But at least, unlike the beef & broccoli, it was edible.

Ham Fried Rice - again it was bland. I added a bit of salt and soy sauce, then it had taste. (I am not someone who puts salt on everything.) The ham pieces were big chunks and tasted fine, but the rice was almost white and had no flavor.

Their chicken lo mein is 6.75 for the big size, their house lo mein was 7.25 (shrimp, chicken and pork). I don't like shrimp or pork, so I asked to sub them for beef. They charged me 7.95 to do that. The lo mein was also bland. There were almost no veggies in it. Again, no taste, but edible. It was the best of all the things we got.

We spent over $30.00 and neither of us enjoyed the meal in the least. We ate enough to try everything then packed it up and left. I didn't want to be rude so we waited till a gas station to throw it away. This was not good and not worth the short drive, let alone the $30.00.
