Love, love this consignment shop!.
I have been following Tressa around this town for close to ten years. She has a great eye for design and has a tremendous amount of local knowledge. She used to own a shop in Prospector and now I think she got it right. She has leased a warehouse to escape pricey rent and passes that savings on to the customer. Anyone who lives in Park City understands what retail space costs and can take advantage of her new direction.
This is NOT a warehouse full of yard sale cast-offs, but a space full of beautiful expensive pieces at a steal! If you want to fill your new home or condo full of quality pieces at a fraction of the cost...call Tressa, yesterday! Happy bargins!
I have purchased a new home in Park City and found this lady - Tressa - on the internet.
She runs her consignment business out of a holding area in an underground parking garage. Even though it's not the most charming shopping environment, I don't have an issue with that, but I do with her pushy sales tactics.
As these things go I did change my mind several times regarding certain purchases as what I wanted in each room became more clear. She expressed annoyance with me over this which is what really made me angry and stop any further contact.
I think perhaps she does not want to run a normal biz with a shop, so when she does get you down in the garage it's all about sell, sell, sell. Not what best for you or what you need, just what she can push on you.
Her speech seems somewhat slurred to me at times, and in general I got the impression she's just not all there.
Maybe she was just a bit absentminded, but in short I would not recommend contacting her to buy furniture.
There are two other consignment places in town that have a normal set up and I have purchased several items from them with no issues. The one called 'Pebbles and Twigs' even lets you have a five day window to return with no questions asked - which makes sense. NOT so with 'Tressa's Consignment.' Once you leave with your items you own them and that's that - as it states on her invoice, 'All sales are final.'
Like I said - do yourself a favor, and look for your furnishings elsewhere....
