Great Sushi. Far from Rude and Far from Offensive.
What runfaster neglected to mention is that his wife made a total ass out of herself. The restaurant was PACKED and it was obvious they were busy. Upon learning that it would take 45 minutes she
commented that "I've never had to wait for sushi that long in my life!". She's obviously not had good sushi. The chef that told her there was a Burger King down the road was trying to be helpful. She wanted something fast and that was the closet restaurant (though I can see how she might have misunderstood. It was loud and busy (as most GOOD sushi places are).
Not content to just cancel her order and leave, she came back 10 minutes later to tell the chef she wasn't "white trash" and then started to yell to the restaurant at large that they should never come back. At this point we, the guests who were thoroughly enjoying our sushi, had enough and started applauding her for her annoying outburst, inviting her to leave. She may not think she's "white trash" and certainly thinks herself superior to the "white trash" that dines at Burger King, but she certainly proved that she's "lower middle class trash!"
In any case Oh Sushi is a great little place for sushi with three very dedicated and talented sushi chefs! Give it a try!…
Rude, Offensive. My wife and daughter went in to get some take out a few days ago. As a courtesy, the person who takes your order or sits you down will tell you how long it will take so you can decide to stay or wait, especially if its over a half hour or so. The order-taker did not do this and after ringing it up (and it wasn't that much) told her it would be a 45 minute wait. Well, my wife said that thanks but she wouldn't be able to wait almost an hour so she asked to cancel the order. About that time the sushi chef yelled out sarcastically for everyone to hear, “There’s a Burger King is down the street!" With sushi restaurants being popular and so many to choose from, I would urge you to put “Oh Sushi” formerly, "Go Sushi" at the bottom of your list to visit or preferably not at all. I had to put a star or the review would not post...it really doesn't deserve even one star.…
Fabulous Food Unparalleled service!. I went into Go Sushi with some friends for lunch over the weekend and must say I have found my new favorite place ever! We walked in and were greeted with a sincere happy hello and were instantly given menu's and drinks. We tried the Go, Mars, Vegas and Playboy rolls as well as 2 "specialties" from the chef. I was impressed with the food as well as the service and would reccomend this to ALL sushi lovers and first timers alike.…
Terrible service & environment.
My boyfriend and I decided to try some other local sushi restaurants in our area...I read some good reviews here on City Search so we decided to try it. We walked in and it was kind of busy because
it was the weekend. However, NO ONE even looked at us or said anything to us. We stood there not knowing if we should seat ourselves or what the situation was. Another customer that was waiting for the bar said we should just sit at the open table by the door...we did for almost 10 min wondering if someone would come over or what the deal was....we finally left and I'm so glad we did. We ended up trying another Sushi restaurant where when we walked in we were greeted with a smile and excellent Sushi...we've been back there 5x in the last month!
The place was dark and it had a weird vibe...not sure about the Sushi..didin't try it. (kind of felt like some guys basement)
I only gave it 1 star because I had to but I wouldn't give it any if I had a choice...Service should be a priority...there are plenty of other places to get excellent Sushi...Don't waste your time or money here.…
Tradeoffs. Been here half a dozen times now, and have had a similar experience each time. Service is lacking but the food is second to none. Depends on what is important to you. Small parking lot, small place, but that helps them keep their quality of food under control. The wait time is pretty substantial but the food is almost always worth it. Hopefully you won't need a drink refill while you're there cause you probably won't get it. I bet if you frequent the place and sit at the bar on a regular basis the service will improve, but I live too far away to try it. It'd be interesting to hear their side of the story. They probably pay nothing for rent and have very little seating anyway so there is no point in improving...…
