First Time. I went to my first class last week and I was really nervous. I didn't think I would fit in and would just look stupid. As soon as I walked in the door my nervousness went away. The studio is very warm and inviting, everyone is super nice & D'ana was a phenomenal teacher and made me feel at ease. I tried another class the next Saturday with Abbey called Yoga for stiffer bodies and it was well worth getting up early for. Abbey is a wonderful teacher and has way of making you feel great! I highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for great yoga experience!

BEST YOGA IN THE WEST. I don't even live in Salt Lake....but my family does. I have been going to this studio religiously since it opened every time I visit Salt Lake. I have to admit that I have purposely planned entire trips JUST to do a week of yoga with Dana, the owner.

I'm not even kidding when I tell you that I lived in NYC when I first started going here, and have since moved to Los Angeles, and I still consider this one of the best in THE COUNTRY. I cannot say enough about how much this studio welcomes you, is NEVER EVER pretentious, and is the best yoga at ANY stage of your yoga practice.

I could go on and on, but then it would sound like a fake review. Honestly, if you have any doubts just GO once.. And then you'll see what I'm talking about.

I Love Centered City Yoga. Centered City Yoga is an amazing studio that I have been frequenting for six years. There are a variety of yoga classes for any age, level, and ability and two locations in the valley (one on 9th and 9th) and one in Millcreek.

Because the atmosphere is so inviting and the yoga community is so active and friendly at Centered City Yoga, I have made some lasting friendships and discoveries about myself that would not have happened anywhere else. I have also seen my yoga practice improve exponentially in all aspects, from deep meditation to advanced postures, and I am so happy to have discovered this little jewel in the heart of Salt Lake City. Thank you, Dana Baptiste!

Roots. I found my way into Centered City Yoga in the fall of 2006. I had just relocated back to Salt Lake to join my older brother in his fight with Leukemia. One of the resources we found was a free, weekly yoga class for cancer patients and their family members offered at CCY. Upon entering the building, removing my shoes and climbing the staircase with my brother, I knew I had found a sanctuary for myself in Salt Lake. I quickly became a weekly regular and in no time was able to hit my yoga stride. My yoga education took another giant step this last summer when I enrolled in one of Dana Baptiste's teacher training courses. This studio's roots run deep; deep into the local community and deep into the yogic tradition. I would highly recommend this studio to everyone!

We love it so much we carpool from Park City!. Some of the best classes I've been to. I love power 1,2 and core. Their scheduling is online so you can see who is teaching when. Some teachers are better than others but isn't that always the case?

This is the place to find yourself, your true self.. The first day that I entered Centered City Yoga I was met with warm, welcoming, knowledgeable people who are ingrained in an honest yoga tradition. However, the difference that this studio offers to students is an open path to personal discovery through yoga. The meaning here is that they care about each and every student in regards to their practice by taking the time to teach yoga to the individual and not just to the 'room' in a disengaged way. The teachers at CCY know and understand that the path to yoga is a personal journey and they take the time to help the students grow one day at a time. I have since moved to another city in the United States and continue to struggle in finding a yoga studio that takes the time and effort to help students develop their yoga practice. With a background in dance and teaching movement I have personally witnessed practices that are not engaged with the student while in yoga classes. CCY is a place where the integrity of the practice is honored and practiced everyday. There is a very special place that CCY offers both in community and in their teaching that is something not to be described but something to be experienced instead. The more time I spent in their arms, the more awareness I have gained in my life. I am a thankful person and to this studio for what it has shared with me in my life....Namaste. so thankful.

Make your own judgement. Positives: This is nice place with a few good instructors. I will continue to go to one or two instructors. I would try it and judge for yourself.

Negatives: I have noticed many participants doing the moves wrong and in an unsafe way. The instructors NEVER notice or correct them. I know a bit about yoga but there are some new moves that are new to me that they teach.... am I doing them right? I wouldn't know because they don't tell me. The classes ALWAYS start late.

First Time Yoga On My Birthday. I attended my first yoga class ever yesterday on my 26th birthday. Not only was CCY the most warm and inviting place, but Dana Baptiste is one of the most amazing individuals I have ever had the pleasure to meet. She had the class sing happy birthday to me during class, and it made me feel so welcomed. I will keep going to yoga because of how I felt when I left!!!!!
