Murray >Utah Pet Ctr
Ripped off and received negligent care. I had a dispute which I tried to resolve with the center director. They were unable to offer a fair resolution and I even considered filing a small claims suit but decided not to waste any more energy on the matter. I felt ripped off. Based on the way I was treated and the negligent care they provided to my dog, I am not surprised that they needed to shut their doors. I brought my dog in for an emergency, and was promised a bill of goods which they did not deliver. I was promised they would have the test results available "immediately" so my dog would receive the best possible level of care. They lost my dog's lab specimen that needed to be sent out to an outside lab. It took a week before they "found" his sample in their freezer and sent it off. They did not send ANY test results to my regular vet for 10 days despite repeated phone calls from me and my vet requesting the information. Once my vet finally received the test results, she noticed his labs showed an obvious bladder infection which had been overlooked. I was disgusted and did not receive the quality of care that I paid for. The Utah Pet Center vet who treated him even called me to personally apologize and said he was embarrassed for how disorganized the center was.
Awesome Facility!!! Great Vetrinarians!!!!. I am so sad to hear that this place is gone!!! My puppy boxer had gotten PARVO :( .... I took him to the Utah Pet Center, and they treated him wonderfully! I am so thankful for the services and the willingness they had to help my pup make it thru!!!!! I plan on hopefully being able to locate the Dr. who assisted me thru this traumatic time and continuing to take my puppy to her!! Its very sad to hear this place is gone! :( YOUR Awesome Dr. C!
UPC info. I am a now former employee of utah pet center. As far as I am aware the pets that were boarding there are still there. The hours that people are there are from 7 or 8 am until 6 pm. Your pets are not recieving overnight care but they are being cared for during the day. The phone will be answered at 506-7700 for a limited time to help process records, questions, and anything else. ( this is just the info I was given before I left) We as the employees want people to know that we cared for your pets the best we could, and they recieved the highest standard of care available. I have faith in saying that because I know I gave the best care possible. If you are looking for your Dr's the fact is they don't know where they are going. Many of the Dr's and techs moved from other states to work here with the promise of a great one of a kind hospital. There is hundreds of people now looking for a very limited amount of jobs available and praying that our reputations have not been completely ruined by having the Utah Pet Center on our resumes. I am asking that all concerned people in the community contact the Murray City license agency and complain about the man who owns this building Larry Cates and asks that he no longer be allowed to use this building for any other businesses. Aparentely he has a long history of opening and closing this building. If that doesn't work contact your local and state government officials. This man must be stopped from further damaging the state of Utah and it's. If you want to contact this amazingly heartless owner his email is larry@centerbay dot com. Please tell him what you think and tell him that we have had enough and won't tolerate him any longer. Hope this info helps.
BASTARDS!!!!. Okay, me and my wife left oct 16th to vegas for our honeymoon. we left our dog with these people, we called them on thursday oct 23th to tell them we would not be back till sat oct 25th.. on fri oct 24th they told the employees to pack up there stuff and get out.. we just came into town tonight oct 25th. and no dog no people no numbers NOTHING!!!!! We are desperately trying to find out where the animals are. if you have any info plz post and let us know
I am really going to miss them.. I took my little chihuahua in that started crying and limping around in the middle of the night. The bill was very low as they don't charge you an arm and a leg for emergency visits. This is such a perfect setup with all of the services they provide. I'm glad they're there and open 24 hours. I love my Dr. Cartisano although I've had excellent care from other vet there as well.
EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. After my $500 bill for a dog that was throwing up and not eating, (I declined the overnight stay can't imagine what that $$$ would have been!!) I check ed the prices charged for the meds with Dr. Foster Smith online and found out I was over charged by alot...$19 online- $51 at Utah Pet center! I'm glad my dog is ok now but they totally took advantage!!!
Stay Away!. I would not recommend Utah Pet Center. I have a special needs dog whom I brought in. The vet gave me a list of tests that she wanted to do which I agreed to. It was only when the results came in that I found out that 1 test was not even necessary and the other had invalid results as my dog had eaten that morning, a fact which I did relay to the vet before the test was done. In addition they dragged their feet over faxing the results to my regular vet; it took a minimum of 6 phone calls from both me and my regular vet before the results were faxed. In my opinion they care more about charging as much money as they can than about the welfare of animals. If you care about your animals stay away from utah pet center!
Piece of ..... This place was unorganized and terrible. Everything was about money and quotes which I realize is part of the process but I think there is a better way of going about it. They seem to know nothing to little about exotics and told us that our FERRET weighed 11 pounds and then wondered why we don't want them to perform surgery on her. They could've easily OD'ed her on meds. We weren't the only ones there that had problems. A man at the counter with us drove in from Tooele to see a specific doctor they told him was there when he scheduled the appointment that day and when he got there the doctor wasn't scheduled to be in. Then it took them nearly twenty minutes just to get us copies of the x-rays. We only went there because our regular vet was out of town and will definitely not be going back.
Very Friendly Great Service Highlly Recommend!. I took my mini schnauzer here around 11pm. We only waited about 10 minutes to get in and then about 2 minutes for the vet once we were in the examination room. The vet was very friendly and to the point....he kept us updated while they were testing our dog and was happy to answer all of our questions. They let you know what you will be paying up front and it is very reasonable. All the nurses we encountered were very friendly and took great care of our little dog. We live downdown but will continue to come to the Utah Pet Center for all of our vet needs!
Beautiful facility, great prices and very friendly staff!. I took my yorkie to The Pet Center on Friday evening. He was able to be groomed and stay overnight without making an appointment. The prices were great! The bath and hair cut was $35 and the overnight stay was $25. The staff made me feel very comfortable with leaving him there. I knew they would take very good care of my little baby. They also have a 24 hour pet hospital with the exam price of $43 no matter what time it is. When I picked up my dog the next day he was as happy as can be. They also did a great job with the groom. I am very picky and it is hard to find a groomer to my satisfaction. I was very impressed! They will also be having day care in the future. I will definitely be going back, no other place offers this 24 hour service!
