I've only been to MAC a few times, but my experience has always been just fine, probably because I wasn't bringing a child along to an adult dance establishment!

She doesn't say how old her daugher is, but a child young enough to be fingering up the mirrors, and carried, needs to be home with a babysitter.

Sorry, shnikegrl, I know it's tough to get out & meet people or socialize & dance when you've got a child. But sympathy only goes so far, and frankly, if I thought there were going to be kids underfoot at MAC, I wouldn't show up.

Still a great place to go!

I'm sorry this other person did not have a good experience because I think the MAC is still a great place to go for dancing, one live band on the ballroom side with some of the best dancers around and the other side is pretty fun to go swinging. I've been going since high school and still really enjoy taking dates there.

• Pros: Pros, the dancing is great fun and the people are very nice (other than maybe some of the management)

Don't go to the MAC!!!!!

I used to go to the MAC two times a week every week, but I had not been for a couple years, So I decided to try it last night, I will never go there again. I took my daughter with me and the man who owns it or operates it I'm not sure who he was, and older guy, told me that they don't usually let kids in because he does not run a daycare. But sence we were "already there" Then he made the experence even worse by repeating himself several times and saying " try not to let her finger up the mirrors cause (laugh) we all know who has to clean them up (laugh)" I have never felt to unwelcome anywhere. When I went before I had a friend who took his son at least once a month and they never told him anything. I was not letting my daughter run around anywhere. All she was doing was watching them dance! I should have told the man what I thought of him but instead I just picked up my daughter and walked out. If you don't want kids there that is fine, but you don't have to be such a tasteless heartless human being about it when you are telling someone.

• Pros: NONE!!!
• Cons: Not nice!!! not Fiendly! don't make you feel welcome!!
