Feather Extentions:). I was looking for a place that did feather Extentions and found Salon O here on Citysearch. I started to look at the reviews,

I always read all the bad reviews first and that what sold me on SALON O. (weird I know)

On every bad review the owner of Salon O had taken the time to address the complaint and offered to help fix it anyway she could.

I thought that was so professional!

It built up my faith in Salon O before i had even gone there.

Their service was great!

Kat washed and styled my hair perfectly.

She was very chatty and friendly. There was no awkward silence with Kat:)

My feathers only took a minute to place in and the girl doing them had many colors to choose from.

Salon O also has the best prices for FEATHERS!

excellent service. I made an appt for same day and got in within an hour and had a wonderful experience with Derek. He was very knowledgable and helpful. Very calm demeanor. He took time to make sure the color was perfect and did an excellent job! He made recommendations and gave me some samples which I really appreciated and I will definitely go back.

Stay Away!. I have no idea how this place won Best Salon. I tried it, and then went somewhere else. It won Best Salon, so I gave it another try, with a different stylist this time - thinking the problem might have been the stylist, not the Salon. Nope. Still bad.

I scheduled a hair color a couple months early. They called a few hours before my appointment to say that stylist had quit 3 weeks ago, and my appointment was cancelled. They had 3 weeks, but called and cancelled my appointment the same day as the appointment. Talk about unprofessional.

Scheduled a new appointment for a hair cut, but no longer trusting them to do a color - which was smart. The sides weren't cut evenly. I had to go to a different Salon (Salon NV - GREAT place! Wonderful! Deserves Best Salon award) to get it fixed. No idea how bad it would have been if I'd also done a color.

Over priced. Pretentious. Unprofessional. Bad service. Bad haricuts. You get the idea... Please, do yourself a favor, and go somewhere else.

I am so sorry that you had a bad experience at Salon O. Our team at Salon O actively strives for a warm atmosphere, professional demeanor, great service and pride ourselves on our highly educated skill set. Having said that, we obviously missed with you, more than once, and I as the owner am horrified and embarrassed. I would like the opportunity to make it right by you and would love to do your hair personally at no cost to you if you so choose.

Thanks Ann!! I love my new color!. My stylist is Ann Stolworthy and I have actually been going to her for over 13 years now. She has never given me a reason to even think of trying someone else. Recently, however, she amazed me when I told her I wanted to hide the gray in my hair. She said she had a product that would be perfect for me and IT WAS!! I absolutely love my hair, and so does my wife. It hid the gray perfectly, which is exactly what I was looking for. In fact, I have gotten several compliments on my hair since she colored it last week. Ann always does my hair exactly how I like it, but the color she put in was perfect! I love that I can tell her what I want and not worry if that’s what I’ll actually get. I am a guy, but I have also referred several of my female friends to Ann over the years and they too have now been going to Ann for years. If you read this, thanks Ann, you’re the best, truly.

By the way, I love coming to Salon O too! I have been going to Salon O since it opened and have never had a bad experience. I know everyone has their own experiences, but when I saw what someone else wrote about Salon O having terrible service, I had to say something. I disagree completely! Everyone is very professional but also very friendly. I will never go anywhere else.

TERRIBLE SERVICE !!!. I showed up a little late to my appt.

They refused to do my hair.

Not only was I there within the limit they said was their cutoff for late appts., and they never mentioned this time existed in the first place; but they also admitted my hair would take much longer than they had planned, even though I specifically told them my hair was thick and long. I would not be able to go in until the following week,

I am so sorry about the miscommunication. My receptionist felt horrible having to turn you away that day. We do have a 15 minute late cut-off time so that we run on time for our next client.

Amy is AMAZING!!!. I recently moved to Salt Lake City from NYC and was skeptical I would be able to find someone to cut my hair as well as my stylist at Arrojo Studio in Manhattan. While driving downtown one morning I happened to see Salon O's giant sign advertising they were Best of Citysearch 2009. As soon as I got home I checked them out online, found Amy and promptly booked my appointment,

I arrived at Salon O with several hair magazines and different cuts/styles I wanted to talk to Amy about. She really took the time to listen to what I wanted and my lifestyle and together we came up with a haircut that we both felt would work perfectly with my needs.

Amy really took a lot of time and care cutting my hair. She then taught me how to style it several different ways depending on the time I had and look I wanted for any particular day. I have never had someone take so much time!!! She truly is amazing!! Love her!!!!

I have received so many compliment on my hair and immediately give all credit to Amy and Salon O. I'm telling you, she is magic! I will certainly be going back for more services.

Bethany is sweet..but messed my hair color up.. I actually went there because they had so many good reviews on this site. I was hoping to come home give it 5 stars and talk about how pleased I am with my hair. But instead I cried for about 3 hours when I got home.

I went in to see Bethany who was super sweet and gave me an awesome haircut. She talked with me about coloring my hair for about 20 min and I felt like she really knew what I wanted. She pulled a couple of magazines and one was of Mary Kate Olsen, who has super blonde hair. I told her that’s what I wanted but with some depth. I’m already really blonde so she said she was going to put in 3 diff blonde colors. Well 2 and a half hours later she pulled off the tin foil and my hair looked nothing like what we talked about. It’s super brown with some blonde in it. It was cute but NOT BLONDE. It took everything inside to not instantly start balling. I’ve been growing my hair out for two years trying to get long blonde hair. I’m not really sure what happened next. She said she could pull out the brown without frying it and I told her YES I would love that. She was kinda frazzled since her next client had already arrived. So she went and talked to him and went to the back where I thought she was going to get the solution to fix my hair. She came back and talked me out of pulling the brown out… “It’s going to fade to where you want it, I know it will. Just go home wash it a few times and see what happens”. Well what was I supposed to do? She blow dried my hair and pushed my ass out of there. I felt like she didn’t care about how I was feeling. It seemed like a nice salon but I felt horrible when I left. She said she’d call me in 7 days and see what I felt like and she’d be more than willing to fix it. Why did I have to pay 170 bucks for hair that she was going to fix? I drove up from Spanish Fork (about an hour) to get to this salon. Do I really want to drive two hours round trip to get my hair fixed?? How do I know she can really fix it? This just sucks.

I REALLY REALLY hope I can come back and make another review (or just delete this one) and talk about crap happens…but crap can be cleaned up.

I am so sorry you feel this way! Bethany formulated your color factoring in the "fading issue" because of the porosity of your hair. To start out lighter would in fact leave you right where you started when you walked into the salon after about four washes. Having said that, if you still feel like it is not what you wanted after the requested week of waiting PLEASE call and come in, Bethany really wants you to be 100% happy about your hair color.

Kennedy Fitzgerald is exquisite :). My family has been going to Salon O sinc eit opened, and with damn good reason. Of all the stylist that have come and gone there is one that's done my hair better than anyone else. Kennedy not only captures your vision, but shares it with you, as well as shows you how to successfully accomplish it. She can do all manners of styles.

For seven years I had my hair cut short in various pixies and bobs because of its unruly thickness--it was like wolves fur :( But after growing it out long enough, she helped me achieve the healthly look of a Snow White with her clever use and simplified method of extensions. We have all had the braids, which itch constantly but the clips she uses makes it soo much more bearable. I wholeheartedly recommend her and once you see what I'm talking about, you will too :)

Kat L is AMAZING!. I went to Salon O for the first time this weekend and had a fantastic experience. I moved from Portland two years ago and until now haven't been able to find a stylist that gets me and my hair. Kat took the time to discuss my hair type, what color I wanted, and style ideas. She really nailed it. I went to a BBQ later that afternoon and received tons of compliments. Kat is also very personable and made me feel comfortable from the start. I have worked in retail for many years so I am a stickler for good customer service. The service I received from Kat was impeccable. I will be back.

Kevin puts the 'O' is Salon O.. I had pretty long hair, and I was nervous to go short. But I was definitely in good hands. Kevin gave me a rockin' A-line haircut. And I let him be creative with the color. He chose some awesome coppers and auburns that went great with my skin. I absolutely love it.
