Best Tanning Salon in Town!. Awesome beds, bulbs, and prices! Very nice and clean salon. I have been tanning here for 5 years now and the staff is all very nice and helpful.
I went to this salon since 2008. It was nice as first. However, I don't know what happened, but in the past year it became a dreadful experience rather than a relaxing one.
Some of the girls who work there are very nice and helpful. But my customer service experience with the management was not well. Long story short, there was an error made on the general manager's part that resulted in me losing 50.00 to them. The owner offered a gift certificate (that I would be unable to use because I moved out of state) but would not refund it under any circumstances. I would have forgiven them if they had at least apologized, but in my opinion they approached the problem in an arrogant manner.
I submitted a complaint under the Better Business Bureau that was left unanswered. Look them up on there. They have an F rating. Be very careful doing business with these people!
Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service!!!.
I have been going to this tanning salon for years, but ONLY because it is close to my house. They truly have the WORST customer service; I have no idea how the owner hires some of the girls that he does. They are rude and disrespectful to clients, unprofessional and are completely uneducated about their products. There are a couple of girls that work there that are semi-helpful, but for the most part it is a horrible experience any time you want them to answer questions.
Most of the girls don't know a thing about the beds nor the products they are selling. I worked at a tanning salon for years and I know for a fact that I could do their job much better than they are currently doing. The owner himself is arrogant and is not very friendly to customers, despite being a customer for years. There are a few people there that I believe are related to the owner/manager, which explains why they think they can treat customers so horrible.
There is one girl in particular that needs to be fired; she will swear at customers, call you cuss words and will not help you out when you need it. I don't know her name but it's not like it matters since the owner doesn't care to take complaints.
HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE experience. DO NOT TAN AT TREASURE ISLAND!!!! It is worth a further drive to another salon, trust me! I have referred plenty of people to Treasure Island Tanning but I have now convinced them ALL to tan elsewhere.
I posted a rave review about this salon a few years back. Then I went on a tour of duty for a little over a year. When I returned, I came back here to use the passes I had purchased before I left.
The manager named Mary used to be nice, but I see now that she is two-faced. Guessing that after working there for long enough she got sick of trying to be nice. She looked me up and said I had used my passes and had to buy more. I had just bought some in late 2009 and they supposedly don't expire for two years. But I gave her the benefit of the doubt and bought more.
The service here sucks now...they used to clean the beds right after use but now they wait until someone else needs them. I bet they forget sometimes and someone tans in a dirty bed. EWWW...Then next thing I know, I go in after buying more passes and they tell me I don't have any. What?? Seriously, what happened while I was gone?! I would rather tan on the other side of town than put up with this.
