Worse Service. This is the second time we have had horrible experience here . The first time we had the manager explain to us how to order breakfast because the waitress didn't bring the correct meal and the santa fe omelete was under cooked. Today's visit was horrible, it took ten minutes for us to get our drinks. Finally the waiter came around and we gave him our order. He came by about ten minutes later and gave us our condiments and said our food will be out shortly. Another waitress came and sat at a table next to us and chatted with her friends. People that got there before us were getting their meals and finally the waiter came back and said he was going to get our food. We decided to move to a booth because it was uncomfortable to sit in the chairs. At this point the manager was walking around and ask every table except ours how there meal is and their visit. He look at us and noticed we were not happy so he avoided us. Then he told the waitress sitting at the table to get back to work, and she got a little upset with him and told him she is talking to her friends. Then the waiter came back and said he forgot to give our order to the cook, this is 45 minutes after we had got there. We left the restaurant very unhappy. The manager never came and apologized, the girls at the front didn't care about what happened. We are not happy with mimi's and it was one of our favorites.

Two thumbs up!. Love it! Not to expensive and not generic like applebees or chilis... Definately a good place to eat.

Worst in Sandy. The decorations look like what an old person would think New Orleans would look like based on old movies they have seen. What I am sure is great for geriatrics is not for people under the age of 60. The waitress gave me the completely wrong thing, but I ate it anyways because the service was so slow I didn't have time on my lunch break to have them make something else. Besides it was far too crowed during lunch with the old folks home taking a late breakfast.

Atmosphere rules at this French New Orleans-themed spot that serves traditional American fare.. In Short
Decorated like a French country bistro with jazzy New Orleans overtones, Mimi's Café was named after a lost love of Arthur Simms, who started the restaurant in 1978 in Anaheim, Calif., with his family. The ambience could only be upstaged by the menu filled with traditional American favorites. Breakfast includes omelets, waffles, muffins and fresh-squeezed juices, while lunch and dinner feature comfort-food classics like pot pie and pot roast, deli-style sandwiches, burgers, pastas, steaks and salads.

generic as a chain restaurant can be. i think they make the portions so large to make up for the fact the the food is generic at best. the wait for your food is long and service in general is slow. don't go here thinking you can do lunch in an hour - count on two.

No suprises.. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable and in general the food is well prepared and good quality. We usually do Mimi's for their breakfasts. The small loaf of carrot cake along with a decent cup of coffee is a welcome start to the day. We share most meals as the portions are large enough and we don't eat that much. Service has always been very good.

I think we go mostly for the "atmosphere", not so much for the French New-Orleans effort but for the quiet lighting and cosy booths. It feels private even if you're enduring one of those ten kid family "outings" at the large table nearby. We can usually get them to move us to a quieter spot unless they're crowded.

There's nothing to rave about here, it's basic, predictable and has yet to disappoint in any major way- that's probably all you can expect from any chain and we'll alternate this with something like Olive Garden during the month without breaking the budget.

Be Careful What you order.. I have eatend 3 or 4 times and it is a ok sometimes. I enjoy their salads and pumpkin spice muffins when in season. My friends hate the place and got sick from it last time she went I convinced her to go again with another friend. I samples both of their dishes and they weren't great. I had their grilled cheese sandshwich. Luckily I only got a half, as it was burnt and the 5 cheeses they had tasted awful together. I French and love most cheeses, but not this combination. They say they are good for couples and families, but don't have a seperate areas. So, you can have a nice booth but a load table next to you. The service has always been good. Stick to the basics and you will be ok, just like your favorite whole in the walll chinese restaurant.

YUM! YUM! YUM!. This is such a fantastic place to eat! Home cookin' is what comes to mind! My husband and I would spend up to $75 on dinner at these fancy-high-priced-suposed-to-be-the-best- restaraunt-in-town kind of places and ALWAYS be disapointed. We had friends tell us for over a year to go to this place and we finally went on our anniversary. WOW! The prices are so resonable, but you get more than what you pay for! There is so much food we take half of it home and enjoy two days worth of the stuff! The LAMB is amazing, it just falls off the bones! The kids menu is great! The service is fabulous! And you just can't beat the price! Perfect for a family on a budget! The food reminds me so much of my Mom's cooking, and you can't beat home cooking...unless you eat at MIMI's!!!!!
