Skid Row.
When someone mentions a nice neighborhood bar, I honestly do not think of The Hog Wallow. Every time I have been to the bar it has been a horrible experience. The crowd is a mix of arrogant, obnoxious middle aged men, to filthy musty long hairs. The bar's staff is extremely rude-from the over confident wanna be jocks at the door, to the over served, drunk, foul mouthed owner sitting in the corner. If you're not one of the select over served drunks that are at the bar every night, expect horrible cocktail service and reluctance from the bar.
The food and drink menu, is second rate at best. No mention of drink specials ever. Over priced, under poured, tasteless cocktails. The Bud Light draft tastes like it has been filtered thru a gym rats sock. The pool tables are not level and anyone that knows the game of billiards would find the tables deplorable.
Vehicles are vandalized randomly in the parking lot and on the street...this bar is shameful.
Great Bar!!!!!.
My wife and I freequent the Hog Wollow Pub. We have always had exeptional service. Remember this is a small, quaint bar and don't expect to get a table if you get there late. Especially on the weekends.....
We love the staff, they are like family. We understand how hard they work. This place is like hanging out in your back yard with good company and great music!!!! If you haven't been to Hog Wollow, I suggest you try it.......you may just love it !!!!!
Comfortable ambience and a healthy selection of microbrews make this a great live-music hangout..
The Scene
This little out-of-the-way spot offers all the necessary elements to unwind properly: great live music, finger foods and a good selection of brews. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, local and national music acts play everything from bluegrass and rock to ska and reggae. The place gets packed with fun-lovin' people from all walks of life, so get there early to reserve a place on the weekends.
The Draw
On warm nights, check out the garden patio: Levels of tables rise up like rice paddies through the foliage. The kitchen cooks up all the usual appetizers (hot wings, nachos, etc.) and a variety of pizzas. Draft beers include a bevy of local microbrews, as well as Coors, Bud and the like. If nothing on tap grabs your fancy, there are also plenty of bottled imports and domestics.
