very disappointing dinner after dropping $230. I find it very hard to believe that this restaurant has received as many awards as it has. The atmosphere is so loud you can hardly talk to the person across the table without leaning forward and raising your voice. I had the vegetable risotto in a light tomato sauce which was watery and without any flavor whatsoever. My husband had the salmon, scallop, and shrimp dinner which was excellent. My sons had the calamari steak.. One was delicious and the other was very chewy and difficult to eat. For the prices they charge, everything should have been fabulous. On the other hand, the server, Anthony, was superb. I could not have been more disappointed and will never go there again.…
Outstanding. This restaurant would shine in any major city in the world for its food / service / atmosphere and the people who run it. Valter the proprietor is the most gracious host / owner there is. The food here is beyond words. The perfect place for a romantic evening or your corporate dinner. Wyatt a server that I usually ask for is fantastic and also could work in any high end fine dining restaurant in the world. You would be crazy not to go here.…
Simply, the best Italian in Utah.
I dined several times at Cucina Toscana and it has always been a terrific experience. I am Italian-born myself, so I know how food should be cooked and served, and Cucina Toscana offers greatly
prepared dishes that are hard to find even in "trattorie" in Italy.
Cucina Toscana is at its best in main dishes (try the ossobuco!), but they also do an excellent job with their home-made pasta. If you happen to be there I strongly recommend the Ravioli with asparagus.
The only con is that there might be some waiting time before seating (~15 mins), especially during weekend, but the food is definitely worth the waiting time!
In one sentence, no other Italian in SLC can even be comparable to the fine dining at Cucina Toscana.…
Best in SLC. I have eaten here over a dozen times - with parties from two people to twenty. Consistently a great experience and always made to feel welcome. For SLC, the prices are sporty so if you are cheap, you may want to eat at Macaroni Grill.…
Wow!!!. Great service, atmosphere, food, and wine list. Spoil yourself at Cucina Toscana
