The Scene – Most of the subterranean space adjoining O'Shuck's Bar & Grill is occupied by this sushi bar. Inside, wood floors and exposed brick walls add to the urban feel. Sit at the bar to enjoy easy conversation with the chef and your barstool neighbors. It's a great place to take a date or to hang out with friends. – – The Food – Begin with flavorful miso soup, then sample the intriguing salads. Don't choose between smoked squid, seaweed or pickled cucumber salad, just get the assortment of all three--flavors are different and delightful. You can't go wrong with…

Bruce should be ashamed

by skisickie

Some things never change and this place is still the worst mess possible. They cannot keep track of your membership so don't forget it. And if you do the Rude Hostess will sugest you going home to get it. Holly was our hostess and was beyond belief. She insulted my husband and me and said to talk to the bartender (who was the manager on duty) This is the time when customers should be handled better than ever but I guess they have enough business not to worry. Don't try to get in touch with the owner to let them know your concern. No reason to go here, a sushi deal is not worth it. The visitors with legs are still residents and the fish is FISHY

  • Pros: nothing worth it
  • Cons: pests and employees

Insects and rude management

by sushilover12321

The first visit was extremely fun. Good food, good sushi chef with a great knowledge of the sushi menu. Made it worth a return trip. The second visit was far below expectations. Service was absolutely absurd. A roach/insect came out from under the sushi cooler, brought it to the attention of the staff, she squashed it. Two more came out and the sushi chef squashed them. Requested to talk to the manager and was shrugged off. Come to find out the waitress who squashed the first insect was the manager. After ignoring us, approached her regarding the subject, became overly rude and stated I know what you are going to complain about, it is due to the construction across the street and I have other things to attend to. Paid for the meal happily, not looking for a hand out. Would have been nice if the management cared about their customers... After reading previous reviews, someone else had a similar encounter... unfortunate because it could be a great place...
