Tips for Club Try-Angles

This place should close, it is a nasty sewer with a horrible karaoke host. Don't go for karaoke, you won't get to sing anyway...

Home of the bad attitude. This bar has the rudest staff in town. Every time I have been there, I have been given the absolute worst customer service. If this was my bar, I would fire the rude bartenders and replace them with normal human beings. The biggest problem here is that the owner doesn't give a rat's a*s what you think of his staff or their stupid rules. There are way better bars in SLC than this one.

Gets a 1 because there is no zero. But wouldn't even be able to charge a cover anywhere else in the USA and stay in business. The staff is stuck up, and rude because they know that customer's have limited options.

I haven't gone to Try since Utah did away with legally mandated private clubs (which I hated) but Try kept on being a private club with the associated hassles of membership. If you forget your card, they won't look you up and you have to pay extra. Bleh, who needs that.

Anyway, some fiends wanted to go for "Utah Rebellion" so I tagged along hoping to be able to just pay a cover and not have a membership hassle. Well, the first person asked "do you have a membership" I said "No, this place isn't worth a membership" and to me, it isn't that's why I haven't been going. So a second and third doorman asked the same thing and got the same answer. Well the first clown went ballistic, grabbed the $20 I was using to pay for me and by partner from the hands of the cashier and told me to get out, that I was 86ed! For what? All I was doing was saying why I didn't have a membership! I was willing to pay the outrageous $10 for their pathetic "rebellion" party, but that just was not good enough.

So, if you want to pay a membership fee for the privilege of kissing hind side of the staff, this is the bar for you. If you want staff that makes you feel welcome, this in not the place.

Least friendly bar in town!. I arrived in town and decided to see Try-Angles. Well when I got there I found the people not to friendly. Alot of groups that didn't seem to be interested in talking to anyone else. I left and went to The Trapp accross town and the peolpe there are great. Ask for the best bartenders Randy and Steve.

Cute!!. Lots of cute bartenders. Near your downtown hotel. We visited SLC recently, and were glad to see that a Gay Bar can survive in Utah. Only wish we could have spent more time there.

Intimate Neighborhood Hole in the Wall. Cheap Beer. Friendly Staff. Quiet and warm except for Friday nights when there is entertainment that packs the club. Layed back to even convince the new comer that this is Utah's answer to "somewhere you want to go where everybody knows your name!"

Mr. Utah Bear Contest & Cub Contest on March 30 and April 1. Super fun. Good laughs. I highly urge you to check it out.~K

Friendliest Place In town. Everyone there makes you feel welcome. Nice cozy place, and a great patio. Kind of like a gay version of cheers
