Bad cooking. I read the reviews on Esampan and thought 'I should give it a try'. The worst food, it must be the employers and employees writing these reviews. The fired rice is gummy and taste like it was burnt, my son love shrimp so I ordered one , he said 'yuck'.

I will stick with Panda and that all you can eat place on state street.

Love it!. I order from the Sampan on 700 East and 2100 South and I am consistently satisfied. They also deliver all the way to the top of the avenues. If what you want is classic American Chinese food this is a good option.

Thoughtless preperation. While the price is consistent with other chinese eateries, the food lacks any real character. Redundant ingredients in all the dishes, nothing special or unique. Quick delivery, easy on-line ordering.

Sampan is HORRIBLE!. I have been eating at sampan for a few years, and loved every bite! However last night we ordered sampan for my aunts birthday, and they gave us the wrong order. The food was horrible. We ordered orange chicken, and that was so dry on the inside, and greasy on the outside, I have never had such terrible food in my life! The chow mein was so greasy, and the chicken in that was comparable to eating a tire!

I would not recommend this place to anyone, you're better off going to 7-11 for dinner! I am extremely unhappy about forking out 50 bucks for a nice birthday dinner, and got dog %&@# instead! When we complained, they could not care less! Boycott this place! Their food is unacceptable, greasy, dry, bland, took them 2 hours to get us the wrong order, and above all, the correct order was so cold, that it would scare the freon right out of my freezer!

As I said, boycott this horrible place! And do your wallet a favor while you select something better!

P.S. This is the second time we have had bad food, we were just dumb enough to give them a second chance!

We ordered from the 700 East, 2100 South, SLC, location! Avoid that place like the plague!

Bad Staff, Mediocre Food. I used to love SamPan, but wow have they plummeted. I was a long time customer who would have my lunch delivered because I work alone and cannot close up shop for lunch. Per my usual I was going to order but needed to have the payment split, most on my debit and the tip for the driver in cash. When I asked the person on the phone if they could do this for me she stated "No, the drivers don't like to deal with that." I'm sorry? They don't like to DEAL with that? Then I guess you will get NO money. It was beyond ridiculous the excuse she gave me, she would have been better off lying about the reason why they wouldn't do it.

The food as a whole was never amazing but they do have their shining stars such as the Snowball Chicken or their Teriyaki Chicken.

Their pot-stickers are horrendous, they are doughy balls of goo that are not cooked all the way through, and have very little filling. Definitely not what I or anyone else for that matter is used to in a traditionally thin-skinned pot-sticker. The cream cheese won-tons are great, when you get a lucky roll of the dice and get a cook who doesn't allow them to sit and get completely cold and soggy. The lettuce wraps, which are supposed to be healthy are greasy and soaked in the sauce, the one time I ordered them the lettuce they sent wasn't able to hold up to the massive amount of liquid and grease in the "filling".

I would always stick to my favorites, the items on the menu I KNEW were good and safe to eat. But now, with the attitude of the host and apparently the drivers, they have lost a customer, a customer who would order on average 2 times a week. Not only that, but they have also lost the business of the other people who work here, who also work alone on their shifts and would have SamPan for their lunch/dinner.

Good going SamPan.
