Perfect Place. My daughter was just married at Magnolia Grove last week. I was very impressed from the moment we walked in. Everything is so clean and it smells good too. I love how they only allow one reception at a time. My daughter did not have to share Magnolia Grove with any other brides. The staircase was beautiful for her grand entrance and there was plenty of room to seat our 165 guests. Food was delicious and we received lots of compliments from our guests. I would highly recommend Magnolia Grove.

Uhhhhh, lacking in quite a few things!. First of all, the grounds are beautiful. Having said that, the interior looks more like a funeral parlor than a reception center. The wedding I attended had a sit down dinner, but my table and a few others didn't get our entrees until the rest of the guests were finished with theirs. Canned green beans in July, when local farmer markets are overflowing with them, are inexcusable and they were awful. The rest of the food was very blah. The teenagers who were serving were clueless and sometimes rude to guests. They were probably picking fresh green beans earlier that day on their grandma's farm. The bartender was awesome.

Great Place. This is a great reception center. The food was great and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The building is large and can accomodate a lot of people! With respect to the deposit scam comment; it is in the contract that there is a $500 deposit to pay for damages if there is anything damaged while there is alcohol involved. It is not a hidden deposit.

Deposit Scam. Be careful, I just attended a wedding here this weekend. The owners surprised the father of the bride during dinner demanding a $500 deposit before opening the bar (alcohol was alread paid for). This should have been handled with all the other details before the wedding. At the end of the night they made a big scene saying they had a flood in the basement, were missing keys and other nonesense and wouldn't be returning the deposit. In short they had no regard for the Bride who was in tears thinking her dad had to pay extra,at one point they were asked to please address this after the Bride left and they refused, when told they would not get a good reference their response was "we are so booked we don't care what you have to say". It felt like they were looking for any reason to keep the surprise deposit anyway they could. I was a guest and so you can see how "descretely" this was handled. Completely unprofessional!!!!
