As a teacher I have recommended Northridge Learning Center to those students who need remediation, acceleration, and/or independent study packets to make up credit. Feedback from the vast majority of students indicates that the tutoring staff is professional and competent. The students benefitted from their learning experience. In fact, the majority continue to use the Northridge Learning Center for other educational needs. The Center provides individual tutoring from a well trained staff at an affordable cost well below what local and other national organizations charge. Northridge is fully accredited with the staff having either post graduate educational training, their teaching certificates or are in the final year of college. Since the tutorial staff has varied expertise and certifications the individual needs of the students can be addressed.

Although average at tutoring skills, very lacking in customer service skills. I have had many appointments that my son has gone to that weren't written in their calendar. The calendar they use is an actual paper calendar with several post it notes off on the side. Who knows how many of those post it notes or mine ended up in the trash. But when my son was able to see someone they seemed to get quite a bit accomplished. However, there were those times when he said, "we just talked most of the time." Good Luck! Hopefully this will help you some.
Pros: Intelligence of tutors was above average.
Cons: Seceretarial staff lacked in intelligence.
