Recommended!. Food is good and service as well,at least last time was in 2006.
Watch your pie bake in a wood-fired oven at this national chain with global culinary influences..
In Short
Founded in Beverly Hills in 1985, these eateries with the trademark yellow, black and white color scheme have spread nationwide. The decor consists of simple wood and glass with roomy black leather booths. The thin-crust pizzas come with innovative toppings from Asia, Latin America and the Southwest; signature pizzas like the Original BBQ Chicken and Jamaican Jerk Chicken compete with old standbys like pepperoni and traditional cheese. Pastas, salads, soups and sandwiches round out the menu.
Avoid when the crust isn't done!. This is probably my 6th or 7th time visiting this place. Everytime has been decent and good. But this time...I just had two slices from two separate pizzas that were undercooked. The texture was limp-ish thus making the pizza gross. Overall this place is a 2 or 3/5. 1st time though was probably a 4/5.
Everything is good. I am addicted to their chicken marsala, so I haven't tried much else on the menu. Since I always drag my sister with me when I need a marsala fix, she's had a huge variety of dishes there. She has liked every single one. Other dishes that I love: dumpling and artichoke dip appetizers, any of the soups, the blended drinks are tasty. This is one place we love to go with people, because we know they'll like whatever they order.
Great restaurant!. I have to say, California Pizza Kitchen exceeded my expectations for pizza. I love their pizzas and their salads. I love the atmosphere, and did I mention, I loved the pizza? Yes. I loved the pizza.
Good but pricey.
I had the Sicilian pizza. Nice thin crust. Just like I like it. The meat toppings were generous and flavorful and didn't drown out the taste of the sauce and cheese.
I think the prices are a little high though.
Love their food!. This is one of our favorite places to eat. The people are friendly and the food is always fresh and tasty. There is something for everyone on the menu and it is at one of our favorite malls. The portions are also very big. We usually split something.
CPK IS THE BOMB!. And that's a good thing! We've been eating at CPK ever since one opened up in Kahala, Hawaii, over 12 years ago. My sisters and I find it our most favorite place to really enjoy delicious and unique flavors and high quality food for a decent price. Fantastic pastas and salads and a spinach artichoke dip "to die for."
Utah has no taste. Sure CPK serves up their specialty. Pizza. But it's nothing special. There's no love or originality in the food. Originality you might ask? Thai Chicken Pizza? What's not original about that. Well, if this pizza joint was the one and only or even if this where a Utah local chain I could understand. But the folks in Utah love their out of state chains. Serving up the frozen goodness that fattens out-of-state pockets. Come on Utah! Get with the program and realize good food doesn't come from the freezer. And locals can serve up a killer pie.
The best Pizza ever!. CPK is just the best gourmet pizza around. All of them are so good. No need to be affraid of what to order, they will take it back if you're not satisfied and bring you something else. I highly recommend the Carne Asada... ohhhh that is to die for. They definitely need to open more locations, we desperately need one in Utah Co.
