An indoor bouldering gym with the amenities of a sophisticated spa.. The Scene The place looks more like a modern art museum than a gym. The bouldering wall is 13- to 18-feet high and constructed of molded plywood with a sand-blasted finish. The vibe is mellow, talk is cheap and the air is full of chalk. Young and old, hard bodies and the not-so-fit all come to play.
The Services There's a top-rope area and world-class boulder problems. A far cry from garage-style gyms, this facility provides a cardio workout area, weights, yoga, massage therapists, an outdoor hoops court, a big-screen TV and pool table in the rest area, a cafe and a shop with a minimal amount of gear. A team of seriously skilled climbers is on staff, and full instruction is available to everyone interested in learning or improving. But just watching is a lesson in itself.
Bouldering only, no ropes. Great gym, way better than Rockreation. The Front has really friendly, helpful staff, consistently evenly rated fun to climb routes, free yoga classes, an espresso bar and workout equipment. what more do you need in a climbing gym.
I've been around the country and have seen quite a few garage style climbing gyms. This place does not fit that mold. These guys must have spent some dough....insane wall, pool table room, weights, yoga, all in a truly cool space..This is a great place to bring a date but be warned there are lots of things that might make your eyes wander...In shape 20 and 30 somethings dominate the enviroment ...Definitely a hip place for SLC..
