Wow, I don't know how many people read these reviews but as a long-time member of Silver Mountain , I had to say that the 12/3 review couldn't be more wrong. Silver Mountain is awesome. The new facility even has a women's only workout room which I love. The equipment is amazing. Everything is new and they keep it very clean. I am a big fan of the segregated steam and sauna rooms located in the locker rooms. I go to a lot of the classes (yes...they have a ton to choose from) and I love the instructors. I actually take my two small children to their Prospector location at least once a week to swim and find that club to have beautiful facilities as well. I am from California originally and feel lucky to have two great Silver Mountain facilities in our small town.
Pros: Lots of classes included, Great equipment, segregated steam/sauna, family pool, lap swimming, women only room,
Cons: sometimes there are high school kids working the front desk that don't know much.

For reasons I don't understand this gym has consistently been over rated. They did build a new building which looks nice, but the classes are pretty limited (if you like spin, you're OK) and the equipment is old and creeky. Even the new facility is small. The old facility in town is really dumpy and stinky. And to make matters worse, it's expensive. Unfortunately, there isn't a top notch options for gyms in Park City. Those of us who are from elsewhere (e.g. CA) have all been dissappointed.
Pros: Easy access
Cons: expensive, dumpy, and small, Bad parking at new building
