This three-day affair is an orgy of multiculturalism, with performances, concerts, crafts and a queue of food shacks..
Inside Track
Each year at the end of May, the Salt Lake Arts Council puts on the Living Traditions Festival, held on the grounds of the City and County Building. It's always surprising to discover just how diverse Salt Lake really is. And nothing promotes civil harmony like good food.
The Crowd
The festival actually gets a whole smattering of Salt Lakers together for something other than LDS General Conference. As Rocky Anderson was overheard saying, "Gee, it should be like this every day."
Don't Miss
The gyros at the Greek stand are enormously popular, but don't shy away from a Basque burger or Irish stew. The Thai stand is among the best and the cheapest.
