Editorial Review for The Green Ant – by Renee Lowry
The Scene
Vintage is one thing. But vintage contemporary? The Green Ant is where true fanatics can retrofit their glam pads with the best stuff from decades past. In fact, owner Ron Green is borderline fanatic himself, refusing to sell merchandise that doesn't conform to his rigid standard of "groovy." And everything is in tip-top shape. Green spends hours refinishing his finds (in the finest of naugahyde) before they arrive on the show room floor.
Good For
Modern furniture specifically from the '60s and '70s (so don't go looking for depression-era antiques). In addition to furniture, shoppers can find totally random accessories like Heller plastic dinnerware and chrome bar accessories.
What You'll Spend
Many pieces are designer-brand collectors' items. Still, it's cheaper than Pottery Barn.
Genre
"Austin Powers."

Great for modish furniture and tons of other mod stuff. Most items are in great condition and so can be pricey but not unreasonable at all.
Pros: Great selection, good prices
Cons: A bit cramped
