Went here last night for the first time. Food was very good.

Really pleased with service from Tanya. I'd go back in a minute .....and probably will.

Excellent Food and Lots of Charm and Ambiance!!. The Med has tender & delicious food, and I have had friendly waiters to serve me. I enjoy my excursions there. Almost every time I have tried a new entree, I have found a new delicious favorite! My favorites are the Turkish Yogert Pasta, Pesto Marinara Pasta, and the Mediteranian Plater. The portions are big, and I enjoy taking some home to enjoy later. The decor is unique and charming. I will be inviting my girlfriends to the Med for a treat over the holidays. I love the Med! I am looking forward to visiting you again soon!

Shabby, DRABBY, and refused to accept pre-paid coupon.. My husband and I chose this diner for our anniversary meal during a stay at the Armstrong Mansion (highly recommended) which came with credit to restaurant(com) After printing our coupon we made the trip to The Med only to find a shabby exterior, and a poorly presented sign on the door stating they are no longer affiliated with restaurant(com) and that we, the customers, had to contact them for a refund. WHAT AN OUTRAGE! We had JUST printed the coupon and their location was a featured restaurant on the website- their contract with the site was certainly not up.

We went inside to explain that we had purchased our voucher just moments ago only to hear a rant from the man behind the counter-presumably the owner-about how he only intended to have the offer for a month and the site had swindled him into a 3 month contract. From a customer service standpoint-we shouldn't have to hear it! Also, if they accidentally entered a contract with the website, that is THEIR mistake, the customers-PAYING CUSTOMERS- should not be held accountable.

Learn to read the fine print and treat new-comers to great service! Take responsibility for the mistake and certainly don't expect a little sign on your door declaring you're unaffiliated-to go down.

Will ABSOLUTELY never be back, the place was just as ghetto inside as it was outside, nothing fantastic about the smell, and decor consisted of plastic wind-mils, a jungle of fake plants, and tacky flags. Save your money for better places and a better atmosphere. We ate at Thai Garden on 9th and 9th-opposite in every way!

BEST SECRET IN TOWN. I love this place. I lived in the middle east in the 70's while my dad was there on business and this place is such a tribute to the fantastic food from the middle east!

Try their humus! It is great!. I love the kabobs and there is always friendly service.

This is truly a hidden secret for Salt Lake City!! We LOVE IT!

The food is excellent! I always eat too much!

I read some of the NOT so good reviews......what a crime, they certainly didnt know GREAT FOOD when they had it!!!!............maybe because they have never been out of UTAH!!!!!

Thanks!

Shameful. I came here to celebrate a special occassion [now called - The Med - Old World Cafe]. I ordered the meat stew. It came with just 3 tiny tiny pieces of beef. For the price tag of $12, this was unacceptable. The waitress was great and took my complaint to the kitchen. To our astonishment, the kitchen refused to acknowledge and was told to inform our party that we would get no more meat! The kind waitress was almost ashamed to inform us of this. I tried complaining to the owners using the webform on their webpage, but never got a response from them. So, bottom line, if you want to visit a shoddy run restaurant, that cares more about making a profit than their customer, go to this place. I will never be going there again!

A little more.... I have been looking for a place in Utah that has good Mediterranean food... Middle eastern food... I like this restaurant because they are the closest I have found to middle eastern food, but if there was any competition I would probably not go back. I love your persian dishes, but the last jujeh kabob I had was raw in the middle... I do not believe in causing scene so I kept quiet. and I ask you to please do something about your turkish coffee... its embarrassing... and the waitress... the older lady, she has problems with the kitchen which she needs to resolve on her own time... we had her once and she was having issues with the kitchen and it was a little embarrassing to have to listen to it in-front of people who were my guests...

Run for the Hills. Strange non authentic, random decor inside and out. Our booth had seen better days, as we had to shove the cushion filling back in to sit. The humus tasted like it came out of a can, the same can be said for the dolmas. The shrimp dish was overpriced and served with a few extra small shrimp, and the saffron sauce had a strange taste. We didn't try the kabob which some people seem to like, but I doubt I would go back to try it.
