Great lunch place. It is not your average sandwich place. Fresh gourmet salads, and innovative sandwiches. Order the tempura, you won't regret it! Best of all there is always parking. Where in Salt Lake can you find that?

Upscale lunch spot with comforting food for a leisurely mid-day break.. The Scene
A small café with brightly colored walls and a warm, comfortable feel like a friend's living room. Order from the simple menu at the window and lunch will be brought to your table.

The Food
Lunch choices are upscale but not fussy. The mele salad mixes baby greens with apples, hazelnuts and Gorgonzola cheese with citrus vinaigrette. The grilled chicken salad is a blend of Mediterranean flavors with fresh mozzarella, kalamata olives and balsamic vinaigrette. The soup and salad combination with the seasonal puree presents a satisfying, but not-too-heavy lunch. On a recent visit, the soup was a silky broccoli and white cheddar puree without the heaviness one might expect from a cheese soup. For heartier appetites, there are generously sized panini sandwiches and tempura bowls. The shrimp tempura is lightly battered, deep-fried prawns and crisp vegetables over rice.

Innovative, Fresh Food!. Wonderful place to eat lunch. Their chicken Fontina sandwich with it's homeade fruitmustard and homemade potatoe chips is to die for. I love the mele salad and their cheesecake. It is truly a place to check out. I go there once a week and I love it. It has great parking and it is off the beating path so not everyone in town is in there.
