The Scene
Hey, it's a grocery store. Near the produce section is a small booth where they do nothing but sushi. To-go packs are ripe for the picking. Call ahead for larger orders.
The Food
They mainly do rolls, with a limited number of nigiri (raw fish on rice) selections. The sushi is made fresh until 5pm or so, so arriving early is the key to fresher choices.
If you're looking for a quick meal for one, a top choice is the Shoreline Combo--four nigiri (shrimp, salmon, snapper and eel) and six slices of California roll for $7.25. Also good is the Meteor Special--two nigiri (salmon and eel), three slices of California roll and two slices each of tuna roll and cucmber roll for $6.15.
If you're shopping for a bigger group, choose from some of the nine-piece one-style boxes. Top picks include Orange Roll (roe-covered California roll, $5.45), crunchy shrimp roll (covered with "tempura crispies," $5.45) and the vegetable combo (avocado, carrot and cucumber rolls, $4.40).
