I went here with my boyfriend because
we saw that they had won best breakfast in City Weekly for the past decade and wanted to try something new.
They are the type of place that has 4 different employees taking your order, refilling your drink, bringing your food, etc. Usually, I don't mind that kind of atmosphere at all, but the staff here just really wasn't very welcoming. Not rude, just didn't say a word other than to ask what we wanted to order. The food was good, but not great. My boyfriend's potatoes came with chopped onions and peppers but mine did not. His over medium eggs were under cooked, which happens a lot of places.
Would I go back? Sure. Was it the best breakfast in town? Not in my experience.
So delicious. You may have to wait a bit if you go on a Saturday or Sunday morning because they are THAT GOOD. Also, quite loud sometimes. Get the benedict omelette, you won't be disappointed. Very consistent customer service, always refilling coffee, etc. Kid-friendly too. One of my fav places for brunch.
super good food! Be prepared for a little bit of a wait, definitley worth it though.
Great Diner Food..... Great diner food...a tad busy, especially on Sunday, but I guess that's a good sign overall!
Good Enough To Eat!. I love this place! The food is wonderful and it offers a lot variety for vegans and vegetarians. The vegan burrito is amazing!
Avoid This Hipster Hangout.
As a lot of others have said when you drive by it's fairly busy, so you think it has to be a decent place. Wrong.
The entire place is filled with lame ass hipsters. So many skinny jeans, justin bieber haircuts and elitist attitudes it's unreal. Everyone acts snobby (as hipsters tend to do) and they barely pay attention to you if you don't look exactly like everyone else there.
After we finally got seated in some terrible metal chairs, and had to read a bunch of annoying "BICYCLES ARE ALLOWED ONE FULL LANE TOO!" shirts on waiters, our waitress came over, took our order and said "oh you're sitting in the drip. haha" and then i realize the roof is leaking EVERYWHERE. I'm watching water fall through this disgusting roof into peoples food and no one is noticing, and its just soaking my jacket. And it's a joke to them. "lol, better scoot over a foot so you don't continue to get wet!"
How about "lol fix your roof, bitch." Food was average, everyone was annoying and snobby.
Suck it, Blue Plate Diner.
Vegan Friendly with Great Service and Atmosphere!. Being a vegan in Salt Lake City can be tough, so I love this place! Great food and awesome service. The server even sat down and pointed out some of the vegan options on the menu! I really enjoy the cozy atmosphere, too. It's very laid back and I feel relaxed there, Love, love, love it!
MY FAVORITE PLACE TO EAT IN SLC!. Amazing food and service! Everyone who works there is so interesting and unique. The food is simply amazing, which is a breath of fresh air for me since i am a vegetarian. Cute atmosphere, inexpensive prices, big portions, and super good food. Def eat here if you live or are visiting SLC.
Amazing! Give this diner a try..
Astounding food. We've been for Breakfast and Lunch and both are amazing.
Staff sports numerous tatoos and body piercings but all are very friendly and prompt.
I'm tempted to tell everyone the food and service is poor so there will less of a line to wait through, but the honest truth is this is a great find.
