I went to the Mayan last Saturday (06/07/08) to celebrate my birthday. I got there at 5:30 and requested a table for 15 people that would be arriving at at 6:30 pm. They would not let us sit until every single person in the party arrived, which was ridiculous, since I had about 12 guests in the restaurant lobby at 6:30. Anyways, we had to wait another 40 minutes to be sitted at our table because there were other people were eating at it. Once we were sitted, the waiter took forever to get our drinks and orders!!! We ended up start eating at 8 pm! I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone, the service was HORRIBLE and so was the food. I even left 2/3 of my food on the plate. Very disappointing!!!
Cons: Can't make reservations ahead of time on Saturdays, food was cold and not tasty!

I went to the Mayan when it first openned and thought the food was AWFUL. Straight from a can for sure. I went back last week and the food was much better quality. The price is a little high but you are paying for high school diving practice. Good job, Larry, you got something right.
Pros: much better food and menu selections. the nachos were AWESOME
Cons: too loud for conversation
