TIP: Enlightenment Despite Consumption
- recall: Voltaire, DH Lawrence, both Brontë sisters, J Keats, Molière, Kafka, et al., ALL succumbed to consumption, conspicuously. In contrast, those PCU consumers qua tubers who are thick & starchy will reap a distinct 'culosis' inherent in their chosen dedicated pursuits, n'est-ce pas? I Cherish your enlighten/-ed/-ing emporium! Spent lotsa time 2008-09 for jewelry, clothing, libri, astro_life readings, most everything. Especially appreciated staff & owner's suggestions, recommendations and assistance. I'm returning to the area soon -- my first PCU stop is EHBS. <Ciao> from Maní

What a find..
Came to Park City as part of my visit to Salt Lake City to visit family. What a find. This store is amazing. I just wish I had bought more of the fantastic oils they have there. If you get a website please let me know. Will want to buy more, but cannot afford the airfare to fly there. Send me more info at hirelindadeal@gmail
Thanks for a wonderful experience.

I couldn't agree more.
To my delight, I discovered this store during 08's Sundance Festival. It's a doorway to enchantment -- everywhere you look is something to intrigue, fascinate, mesmerize, beguile. I agree with a reviewer above: you'll stay much longer than you thought you would want to, and you won't want to leave. Might be good to do a credit card buddy system -- you don't get to use yours unless the bud agrees.
Naahh. Wouldn't work on me, either. I wasn't even the one who suggested going inside, but I was the one who had to be dragged out the door by her friends. Don't miss it!

love this place.
This is the best store in Park City, I could spend all day here. They have a wonderful selection of books, jewlery and other trinkets. I alway leave here with a handful of cute little gifts for everyone I know.

Best store in Park City.
Everytime I come to PC, I make sure to stop at the store. The overall energy of the store immediately makes me feel like a million dollars, and the wonderfully unique and friendly staff only add to the experience. From great books, candles, jewlery, incense, clothes, etc., etc., the store carries items that I have not been able to find anywhere else. Definitely Recommended.

Find enlightenment in a town dedicated to conspicuous consumption..
The Scene
Here's the scenario. You've just been informed there's a long wait to get into your favorite Park City restaurant so you decide to spend the time shopping. You wander into the Expanding Heart and near the entrance you see a table piled with books. As you browse the titles, you realize you're looking at a book that delves into the healing powers and ancient rituals of belly dancing. Intrigued, you pick up the book and begin to thumb through it. Pretty soon, it occurs to you that you need this book, along with several other unique items that you can't find in traditional bookstores. When it's time to return to the restaurant, you don't want to leave.
Good For
Books on New Age topics, music, jewelry, incense, statues, gifts.
Who's Buying
People who realize that all the secrets of the universe can't be found at Barnes and Nobles.
What You'll Spend
This isn't a discount store, but prices are very reasonable.
