If you're a stranger to the Mormon aesthetic, this is an excellent introductory course.. The Scene
This museum "examines the history, beliefs and values of the LDS" through artifacts and art. The building is divided into two levels: the main floor exhibit, "A Covenant Restored," and the second level's "Presidents of the Church" exhibit.

What to See
"A Covenant Restored" charts LDS history from its foundation in New York State to the settlement of Utah. The exhibit contains interesting artifacts, including pioneer journals and Mormon Brigade maps. "The Presidents of the Church" exhibit contains portraits of the LDS presidents, as well as various personal artifacts. Outside the museum's main doors is the Deuel Log Cabin, one of only two original cabins from 1847. Be sure to check out the model berth from an old three-mast passenger ship. You get a feel for how a convert's voyage to the states differed from the dewy visions of "Titanic."

A LEARNING EXPERIENCE!. This is such an interesting museum! They have so many wonderful artifacts and displays. My favorite part, however, was the new area upstairs where children can play. My children had a great time imagining they were pioneers! Very well done!
