Almost saved up have someone else fix his disaster. I went to Dr Keiter in 2000 and it sickens me to see him recommended on other websites. It was impossible to file a complaint with the BBB and back then there were no online reviews. At the time of my procedure he asked if a student could observe. After the procedure I asked if he did one side and the student did the other? They were so different one side high one side low, one side the nipple was on the very edge of the areola!! he said not to sorry as gravity and skin stretching would even it out over time. when I insisted he did a local anestesia and cut my muscle to lower one side. I cannot wear a bra from Victorias Secret and have a difficult time finding a bathing suit that covers my areola. he said he thought he did a good job "considering what I had to work with" he also stated that I was "one of those people that would never be happy." I was not over weight simply had extra skin from pregnancy. At the same time I ad a tummy tuck, he advised prior to the surgery that it is standard for "elephant ears" (a tuft of skin at the edge of the incision) and it was an east trim to remove after and it would be included then refused to correct after again stating I was one of those people that would never be happy.

Bad experience with this doctor. Do not use Dr. Keiter. He misled me and made me believe that my insurance company wouldn't approve the surgery when all they wanted was more information so they could approve it. Example: He refused to have me get a mammogram which I would have happily gotten (particularly since my regular doctor wanted me to have one.). His reasoning: He didn't want me to be exposed to X-Rays?

While trying to reason with him about the money, he slipped (while he was yelling at me) and said that if the insurance company had approved my surgery, he wouldn't have done it for me. (He was required as part of his contract with the insurance company to accept their patients unless he wasn't accepting ANY patients.)

He got me to pay more than twice what he would have received from the insurance company.

And then... the insurance company ended up approving it anyway. I had already paid him and so he was supposed to give my money back to me. He refuses because he says that my contract with him over-rides the contract with the insurance company. But I wouldn't have paid him anything if he had been honest.

If he wouldn't have misled me about the insurance issue, I wouldn't be out my money. If he would have refused the surgery out-right beforehand, I would have found another doctor.

How did the surgery go?

I still have pain. He left in two stitches. One caused me to get infected. The other one caused me continual pain. It had started to be covered up with skin when an acupuncturist found it (I went there to try to get pain relief.) The bottom edges of my breasts are flat - kind of shelf-like. I am hoping that this issue will go away in time. He did make me the correct size and I am happy about that.
