I love this place!!!. The girl was super cute to me, she was friendly wanted to help! I found what i needed and i also love love love the new location!! things were a little disorganized but they said they just moved a month ago! They are doing some thing right!!! Check them out!
Worst Customer service I have ever experienced.. seriously..
I am a hair stylist and I have been ordering hair from Baraka for over a year now. I have liked the hair ok, but have always been treated with terrible customer service... ex: not ordering hair when they say they will, getting hair to me 3 weeks after it was supposed to arrive- which resulted in me having to reschedule my clients 2- 3 times, prices not consistant, one time I was told they close at 7 so I drove to salt lake only to find out that they had actually closed at 5 on weekends (I called the other day to confirn that they were open til 7 weekdays and the lady said, "no, 6".. do you know your own hours???). I put up with it because of a lack of other hair extentions suppliers in utah.
The other day was my tipping point. I drove to taylorsville from provo and first, I ordered hair from a girl at the front desk that had absolutely NO idea what she was doing.. While her was nice, her cute giggle did not help me get done what I needed. I had to basically tell her how to order the hair. Then I asked to talk to someone about a problem I had with some hair I had already ordered and used, that was not it's normal quality..not anywhere near normal quality. The clueless receptionist told me that the girls I should talk to were "really busy" and could I come back tomorrow. I told her that I live in provo and so that wouldn't be very easy.. she did not know what to respond to this. I left and then called back a minute later wondering if one of the girls would have a break soon and they could just look at the hair I see how bad it was. I returned to the salon 20 minutes later, as I was told to, and went back and talked to someone who, turns out , wasn't on a break at all, she talked to me while still doing her client . (1 this is inconvient for the client and 2 if she was doing this now why couldn't she have done it before??) This girl did not know how to respond to my problem either, she only DID extentions but had nothing to do with the ordering of the hair, she asked if I wanted to talk to "J". I don't know?? You tell me who I need to talk to in order to solve the problem. She called "J", went upstairs to talk to her, came down and told me that "J"was also "very busy" and couldn't see me. Too busy to LOOK at hair? She said that "J" recommended using a detangler. This was quite humerous to me as although one problem with the hair was the excessive tangles the main problem was that there was not much hair left.. "J" I don't think a detangler will help put hair back onto the weft nor do I think it will help your lack of concern for you clinets... Doesn't seem like these people want business to me.
I will never use baraka for anything again.
Worst Salon in Utah Beware!!.
I just got my hair done at this facility the other day and I will NEVER go back! I was mistreated on so many levels that my head is still reeling in disbelief. I have NEVER been treated so badly and I can't believe I paid money for this second rate service.
My appointment was made for highlights and clip in extensions. I waited for an hour and a half for my appointment with no apologies for my wait. The stylist highlighted my roots and then kicked me out of my chair so that she could fit in a "regular" customer that was a friend of hers. That customer got into his appointment 5 minutes early meanwhile I had to wait for an hour and half for my appointment. She haden't finished my extensions and said she might be able to finish it but she wasn't sure. She then wanted me to pay and then come back an hour later.! I was OUTRAGED and called the manager thinking surely they will see the injustice that I had endured. I recieved no sympathy. I finally got out of that salon 6 HOURS LATER!!, but not with much money in my pocket. They charged me way more that the quoted price I had investigated when I had made my appointment 3 weeks earlier.
I called again today hoping that she could make things right for me and instead the manager just yelled at me and threatened a lawsuit...all I wanted was for her to make things right. Anyway the choice is yours if you want to risk going to this second rate joke of a salon. If getting mistreated is your thing and you like it then go here. My hair looks awsome so when I get all the compliments on how great I look I will reply with the horrendous experience I had and will tell my personal friends where to go and it will most definatly not be Barakas.
