shop till you drop. I visited Salt Lake last week and discovered the most adorable boutique in the Gateway mall, JMR. The girls were so adorable and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. This was definitely one of the cutest, more upbeat stores i've been to in a long time and I cant wait until the next time I come back to visit Salt Lake so I can come back there!

Awful Experience Every Time. I am a frequent Gateway Mall shopper. I like most of the stores there. But JMR is absolutely the worst. Every time I have gone in there, I have left promising myself I will never go in there again. Their sales staff is always horrible. They stand around and talk to each other - they are way too good to help any customers. They also look and act like they are all 17. Not a good thing when JMR is trying to sell $300 jeans. You can't talk to them anyway because the music is too loud.

As far as the merchandise - they have some decent brand names for their jeans (although way over priced). Then they have a bunch of cheap "stuff" everywhere. Cheaply made t-shirts and accessories. Also - their shoe selection is for someone like Punky Brewster. They have a few good styles of boots in the fall. But all of their other shoes look like something out of a scary cartoon - and they are also way over priced.

Nothing personal against JMR - it's just that I have a bad experience every time I go in there. I don't like feeling apologetic for interrupting some story that the sales rep is telling their friend when I have needed help finding a size.

One last thing I just remembered - their return policy is basically no returns ever. It is very unreasonable.

Exclusive and Hot. JMR Chalk Garden is the only store in Utah that carries all the high fashion clothing lines I love: Diesel, G-star, Energie, Paper Denim, Seven, etc. Also, it is the only shop with Gola shoes! From N.Y. to L.A. to Milan to S.L.C., JMR Chalk Garden has the best of what's "in" for all trends! Not to mention, all the employees I've met are knowledgeable, cool and extremely fashionable.

Excellent. I think that JMR is one of Salt Lake's best stores for finding clothes that are "now". They have the best selection, and I know that I will never walk out of the store knowing that there will be 50 other people with the same thing's.
