Editorial Review for Maggie McGee's – by John Youngren
The Scene
Hidden away in a Cottonwood-area strip mall, Maggie McGee's is a private club with a pure tavern feel, luring an interesting mix of sports fans (NASCAR is big at Maggie's) and neighborhood regulars. A large, U-shaped bar dominates the relatively dark interior, while a dozen or so tables provide plenty of seating to watch sports on TV and socialize in a smoky, close-up setting.
The Draw
They make solid bar food here, baby--steak sandwiches and burgers and the like, along with a variety of nachos and munchies on the appetizer menu. Because it's a private club, Maggie McGee's can also serve mixed drinks, but the main fuel here is brew (a few microbrews are on tap, but we're essentially talking about your run-of-the-mill Buds, Bud Lights and other domestic suspects). Maggie McGee's also features shuffleboard and pool tables, further catering to its sports-fan core audience.

Insider Tips
Hard to FindLook for the 6200 South exit off I-215. Maggie McGee's is on the same block as Dimitri's club and restaurant.

This place is hands down the best MNF party around. They give away free cool stuff everytime a team scores and they have a Half-time game where you can win everything from T-Shirts to keychains. Not to mention a $3 steak and fries deal that is very tasty. Good looking wait staff, good patronage, this place has it all. I'm sold and will become a regular week after week.

This is a great place to meet my friends for a few and sing after 9PM. We have been going for years. People are nice and staff is very friendly. Monday Night Football is a blast. They have nightly food specials too so lots of time we order up there watching a good game. If you like sports then this is the place.
Pros: Parking, Ambience,fun crowd
Cons: NONE
