Highlander is a neighborhood sports bar with a loyal blue-collar following and the occasional curious outsider infiltrating their ranks. Even at midday, the interior is dimly lit, achieving that dank dive vibe ironic hipsters love. The decor is a series of arched doorways, wood paneling and green lattice, but as the plastic NASCAR flags lining the bar attest, this is a shrine to sports, not to kilted clans. Those who'd rather play sports enjoy their choice of pool, darts and videogames.

The Draw
The crowd is friendly and laid-back, and the overall vibe is low-key, setting itself apart from other meat market-type sports bars in the valley. The younger crowd will enjoy the kitsch factor, especially on the karaoke nights held throughout the week, culminating in final contests on Saturdays. The outdoor patio is the ideal place to partake of great pub fare, including burgers, chicken and even halibut and chips on select days.
