A Yummy Place to get a Beer with Your Dinner!. It's a hard menu to choose from. For some reason nothing stands out because everything seems equally good.I usually end up getting the fish tacos and rock shrimp because they are both so delicious.

The prices are on the high-end while still being reasonable ($50-$70 for two), but you get what you pay for. They have excellent service and the staff has mostly been there long term and are very friendly. The atmosphere is really warm and inviting. Their bathrooms are always clean...bonus!

A loved local place in SLC!!!

My favorite restaurant. Great food, especially the pasta with sun-dried tomatoes and artichoke hearts. We have never had a bad meal there.

AWESOME food with a wide selection of options, great ambience with a cool "outdoorsy" patronage, and VERY reasonably priced. This is an AWESOME restaurant. It is always crowded, but there is usually not a very long wait for smaller groups. They serve large groups also, but if you have 6 or more in your party, I highly encourage a reservation. Porcupine is very reasonbly priced and the service is top-notch.

The food and beer selections are extensive and incredible. They have a variety of microbrews, national and international beer choices. My wife and I are vegetarians and the menu options have quite a variety for us as well. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, try the Red Pepper Hummus, Smothered Black Bean Burrito, and Portabello Jack...f'ing delicious!

It is located at the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon. In Winter, they get a lot of skiers, while in Summer they get a lot of bikers and climbers...so there is always a cool, outdoorsy crowd there.

The ambience is great, with an outdoor patio, on the inside they have a cool bar with a lot of varied paintings on the wall. They also have a good sized loft that can seat a number of people. They have a lot of T.V. screens throughout the restaurant, usually playing a football or basketball game, or SportsCenter.

STAY AWAY... ahh what the heck? Come on over!. Please stay away. This is one of my fave places and it's always crowded enough without you! :-) Did one of the reviewers say "overpriced"??? You've got to be kidding me!!

The Porcupine NEVER disappoints. I love the food. I love the atmosphere. I love the location. I love the service. This is one of the best places in Utah to get a great meal, at a great price and have a great time! Keep up the good work and I'll keep coming back for more!

Best place to chill with a little dinner after a great day of skiing. Yes you can go there with a large party. We go there 3 to 5 times a month with about 20 people at a time. Just like any restaurant you may have to wait a little longer. This place has the best sandwiches and salads not to mention the fabulous Beer. If you ski or snowboard this is the best place to stop after a long day on the hill.

Their problem?. I was actually considering going here for my birthday. Since reading the comment about not being good about large groups I've changed my mind. I'm sure the porcupine is a great place, however, I do think that it's just good customer service to cater to the customers even if it's a large group and split the bill. And I felt the need to comment after the ignorant comment about it being their problem? You seem a little bent about someone else's experience, are you working there or something? I've worked as a waitress, a server that can't split the bill is an inept one. Large groups are not just for Denny's and the problem was the restaurant.

ummm beer. This is one of my favorite places to eat, drink beer, and be social. The food is consistantly good, the service is always friendly and the atmosphere is fun. Even if you have to wait for a while to be seated, there is usually room at the bar to eat an appetizer if you're starving, get a drink, and you'll probably meet someone new. People go there all the time after a day skiing/snowboarding by themselves, so sit down and chill out for a bit. Whats better then great food, friendly service, fun atmosphere, and meeting a new friend??

So, to the person complaining about bringing 17 friends to a restaurant that you admittedly knew didn't take reservations....um, what aren't you understanding here? Let me help you out: simply, the problem was you.

to the person that brought 17 people to a busy restaraunt. If you're bringing 17 people to dinner and they don't take reservations- go to Denny's. Come on, be realistic. Also, take note....DON"'T BRING 17 PEOPLE TO DINNER AND SPLIT CHECKS.....THAT'S EVERY BIT RUDE. It's the equivalent then of being sat 8 tables at once. GET OVER YOURSELF.

Popular after skiing location. Wide menu variety and a good selection of local beers on tap. Breakfast menu is very good as well.
