What People Are Saying About Porcupine Pub & Grille

In Short – A big, airy dining room opens into a nice, but smallish, front patio that overlooks Salt Lake Valley. A loft-like space is opened when things get crowded. Those seated at the bar can watch the action in the kitchen and dip into the impressive draft-beer selection. The menu is huge and diverse, with pub favorites like very spicy hot wings, chili, steaks, burgers, pasta and pizza.

A Yummy Place to get a Beer with Your Dinner!
by NateandKari at Citysearch
It's a hard menu to choose from. For some reason nothing stands out because everything seems equally good.I usually end up getting the fish tacos and rock shrimp because they are both so delicious.
The prices are on the high-end while still being reasonable ($50-$70 for two), but you get what you pay for. They have excellent service and the staff has mostly been there long term and are very friendly. The atmosphere is really warm and inviting. Their bathrooms are always clean...bonus!
A loved local place in SLC!!!
My favorite restaurant

Great food, especially the pasta with sun-dried tomatoes and artichoke hearts. We have never had a bad meal there.
- Pros: Great food
- Cons: noisy
AWESOME food with a wide selection of options, great ambience with a cool "outdoorsy" patronage, and VERY reasonably priced

This is an AWESOME restaurant. It is always crowded, but there is usually not a very long wait for smaller groups. They serve large groups also, but if you have 6 or more in your party, I highly encourage a reservation. Porcupine is very reasonbly priced and the service is top-notch.
The food and beer selections are extensive and incredible. They have a variety of microbrews, national and international beer choices. My wife and I are vegetarians and the menu options have quite a variety for us as well. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, try the Red Pepper Hummus, Smothered Black Bean Burrito, and Portabello Jack...f'ing delicious!
It is located at the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon. In Winter, they get a lot of skiers, while in Summer they get a lot of bikers and climbers...so there is always a cool, outdoorsy crowd there.
The ambience is great, with an outdoor patio, on the inside they have a cool bar with a lot of varied paintings on the wall. They also have a good sized loft that can seat a number of people. They have a lot of T.V. screens throughout the restaurant, usually playing a football or basketball game, or SportsCenter.
- Pros: Delicious food, varied menu, wide beer selection, fun ambience, good service, and cool "outdoorsy" patronage
- Cons: If you have a large group, please book a reservation as you might have a long wait
STAY AWAY... ahh what the heck? Come on over!

Please stay away. This is one of my fave places and it's always crowded enough without you! :-) Did one of the reviewers say "overpriced"??? You've got to be kidding me!!
The Porcupine NEVER disappoints. I love the food. I love the atmosphere. I love the location. I love the service. This is one of the best places in Utah to get a great meal, at a great price and have a great time! Keep up the good work and I'll keep coming back for more!
- Pros: Everything!!
- Cons: Ummm... nothing comes to mind!
