The Best.... ...for Salt Lake and what we've found. We enjoy our visits, and the friendly staff. The food is great. The honey shrimp are some of the best we've had from here to California. Nothing outragously fantastic about the place, but the food and staff are consistantly good.

Problems choosing?. The food is fabulous. If you don't know what to order from the extensive menu, have the waiter suggest. He/she will not steer you wrong. Ours actually told our group that we had too many fried entrees and that he would pick the last for us! His suggested entree turned out to be the favorite of the evening. The lettuce cups appetizer is a must as is the honey walnut shrimp.

The Hidden Chinese Star. Absolutly Great!

Not only is the food great, but the service is extraordinary. Gary, the Owner/Manager, is the best restaurant host on the planet. Get to know him, and he will always take care of you... whether you are a regular customer or a first-timer.

Without a doubt, the best chinese restaurant in Utah.

It is a hidden treasure.

Friendly Environment. I've moved from working in the Union Park area, but still meet friends at Asian Star for lunch anytime I get a chance. The manager is so friendly and the food doesn't sit in my stomach like some greasy chinese restaurants.

Try it---you'll like it!. Excellent! THE BEST Walnut Shrimp! MooShu and Tangerine Ckn/Beef also outstanding. Mongolian Beef only average. Excellent take out packaging, they shrink wrap the containers, including soup, so no leaks. Only criticism I have is that it took several tries to get 'hot&spicy' to mean hot&spicy; you really have to emphasize this or you will be disppointed. This seems to be a Salt Lake thing, as I've found the same to be true of other local Chinese.

Asian Star, a place where everyone knows. A place that offers a unique experience to your culinary travels. This is a place, where the staff is friendly. The owner doesn't make you feel like a customer, but rather a part of the family. I recommend Shrimp in Mandarain Ginger Sauce. I guarenntee that you won't find it anywhere else.

YUMMMMMMMMMMM. Eating here is truly a dining experience. The food is out of this world. All of the sauces have an original flavor that keeps you coming back for more. Hot Sour Soup to die for!!!!
