The Scene
The perfect spot for apres tennis, Asian Star's atmosphere is high energy and casual. Outdoor seating overlooks the tennis courts and provides views of sunsets across the valley. Inside, suspended red paper dragons and brightly colored paper lanterns help set the mood. It's a great place for an Asian beer or a cup of sake and an array of freshly prepared appetizers.
The Food
With so many wonderfully spiced selections, it's hard to choose. You can't go wrong with any of the specialties, whether it's the sweet and spicy shrimp with mandarin ginger sauce ($11.50) or the sizzling platter of scallops, chicken, beef and Chinese barbecued pork ($12.25). A la carte items--featuring everything from spicy Kung Pao vegetables ($7.45) to Mongolian beef ($8.95)--are served with steamed rice. Or you can order any a la carte item as a combination plate, which includes soup of the day, fried shrimp, fried wonton, egg roll and fried rice ($3.00 extra).

I love the Asian Star and their Walnut Shrimp is to die for! Although the menu is a little pricey, I've found that every dish I order there is seasoned well and cooked to order. I also like that they have the option between traditional family-style dining and individual serving plates. All the staff was polite and quick to help. The wait-staff does check on you often, but I don't believe it's in a rushing manner, I believe they just want to be prompt to help. I would recommend, and I personally take all family members/friends that come to town here for a relaxing atmosphere with wonderful food.

This is the ONLY place to eat chinese, my personal favorite is the Walnut Shrimp. It is mouth watering and delicious, totally worth the price. Anything you order is going to boggle your mind. The meat you order whether its chicken or beef is going to be tender and fresh. The service is amazing, the owner is very friendly and personable.
Pros: EVERYTHING, food, service
Cons: nothing
