Won't go there again! Ordered the
dinner for two - no soup came with it, so $1.75 extra. Egg rolls were good. Asked waiter what kind of noodles came with pork chow mein - he said they were soft, so that seemed OK. They appeared to be spaghetti noodles and the chicken flavor was bad. The sweet & sour pork was strange - no sweet & sour sauce, it had stewed baby tomatoes on top. Asked about it - told the waiter it was more Italian than Chinese - he said it was a new recipe and was German! Not good at all!!!

Gross!.
I was disgusted with the food. I ordered the teriyaki chicken and fried rice and omg the meat was not seasoned and it tasted as if the meat was boiled not grilled. The fried rice had no taste and it was dry. I went there because of the reviews on this site and I have come to the conclusion that the people that work there must have written the reviews. I was so disappointed. The price my boyfriend and I paid for the disgusting food we could have gotten double at Moki's. And there aren't even any Chinese ppl working in the restaurant! No wonder they couldn't get the dishes right they were Caucasians trying to cook Chinese food wow. Don't eat here its freaking nasty!

Give it a shot!.
China Grill - The Healthy Choice may not look like much from the outside, but please do not let appearances fool you. The food is the best Chinese food in SLC. It is always fresh, hot, and prepared just the way you ask for it to be. Most of their dishes are "healthy" versions of usual favorites. While I was hesitant at first (I mean, isn't the "unhealthy" factor what makes Chinese food so good?) I fell in love with this place the first time I ate there. The staff is always friendly and willing to accommodate requested variations. I would recommend the sweet and sour chicken for your first dish. Their sweet and sour sauce is very unique. It has large chunks of tomato and a mild sweet and sour flavor. It's the best I've ever had. Go, Go right now!!

Affordable--but not necessarily authentic--Chinese food for a step up from fast food..
The Scene
China Grill, located on South Highland Drive in Salt Lake City, bills itself as a healthy choice in Chinese food. The restaurant offers sit-down dining, takeout, or delivery within a limited area. It's a good choice if you are looking for something affordable but not necessarily exotic, and the ambience is a little more upscale than your basic strip-mall Chinese.
The Food
China Grill's menu consists of the usual standbys you find in Salt Lake's Chinese restaurants--sweet and sour pork, lemon chicken, teriyaki beef, fried rice, and stir-fry vegetables. Crabmeat soup and cashew chicken salad are also available, as well as won tons, pot stickers, and egg rolls. Dinner combos for one, two, and families are also available.

Healthy Chinese in China.
China Grill is not too popular but is a great restraunt. China Grill looks like fast-food from the outside, but inside it looks like a small restraunt. The food is great.
