Best service we've received from any restraunt.
My husband and I have been to this location three times in the last year. We love their open salad bar, although I usually don't order it he always does and has never been disappointed. Our meals have always been brought to us quickly and our waitresses have been flat out amazing. They even take the time to joke with us! My husband goes through soda incredibly fast but he was never without any. When we ordered the steak and unlimited shrimp, we didn't ever have a chance to finish all the shrimp before they brought more. Even the dessert bar at closing time had good fresh brownies and the dessert toppings had all been recently filled.
I have heard a lot of negative about them in the past but they seem to have done a complete 180. I will definitely be returning.
Steak, Salad and Service!. Went to Sizzler at 3500 S. and Redwood Road and was really blown away. The ordertaking area had a new look that I really liked. Had the FlatIron Steak and the Order taker talked me into the Salad Bar. My friend and I sat at a table by the window and then went to the Salad Bar which was awesome. Fresh fruit, whole avocadoes and I even made a taco salad. My steak came out and it was tender and flavorful. I hadn't been for a while and we will be going back. The Service was attentive and friendly and the price was a real value and the Server gave us a small ice cream cone for what she called a sweet finish. It was a nice touch. I recommend it highly.
Discusting place, and bad service..
This Sizzler location, is very nasty.
My wife and I went to this location at about 06:30pm on March 4th, 2009. I ordered the salad bar, and my wife got the Malibu chicken, and we ordered a side of unlimited shrimp (so they say).
As my wife waited for her dish, I went to the salad bar, I went to grab a plat off the stack, I noticed that the plate was dirty. So I set it aside, and grabbed another. I was surprised, another dirty plate (on top and on the bottom). I went through 5 plates before finding a clean one (I handed the rest to a passing by waitress and told her about the dirty plates).
I proceeded with making a salad. The lettuce was fine, but the bell peppers were flimsy (not crisp like they should be), the broccoli and cauliflower had brown spots, the cherry tomatoes had soft/brown spots.. The problems pretty much continued all the way around the salad bar. The fruit wasn't that good either (brown spots, soft spots, and dirty). the fried chicken wings where really greasy, the nacho cheese was separating, the taco meat and beans looked old, as did their fresh cold pasta salads.
After dishing up my plate I went to sit down to eat. My wife was still waiting without her food (this was about 15min AFTER we ordered), I shared some my salad with her. After 25 minutes the manager served her dish, and we had to tell him about the shrimp.
Our drinks showed up just after my wife's dish (about 3 minutes), with no straws (after telling the waitress who was serving us). The "cheese toast" was burnt. I finished my drink (was waiting for a refill), she shows up 10 minutes later asking if I wanted a refill. I said I'll just have a water (this was a test - for her tip). She took another 10 minutes for a simple glass of water, just as we where about to leave (from frustration), she said "have a nice day"... What the hell.. We left, and she got no tip..
After wasting $30 on a very crappy meal, we will not be back.
0 stars (well 1 here)
Comfortable family restaurant serves up grilled steaks, seafood and a mammoth salad bar..
In Short
Established in California in 1958, this all-American chain is decked out with stone accents, dark woods, and classic photography that hearkens back to the restaurant's beginnings. The original menu featured four steak options; today, guests choose from steaks, burgers and sandwiches, St. Louis-style pork ribs, and signature "sizzlin' platters" of garlic-herb chicken or grilled seafood. The famous salad bar offers more than 90 items, including desserts and hot appetizers.

My husband, son and myself went to the Sizzler on 3500 S. Redwood Road a couple of Saturdays ago for lunch.
It was pretty good the salad bar was really good. Problem we took some of our dinners home. My son's favorite thing is Sizzler Toast. There were several pieces left in the basket so I just put them in a box.
When my son went to eat his toast he found a screw in a piece of the toast when he opened the box to eat it later.
It was an old screw and could have broken a tooth or worse had it not been seen.
I wrote and email the people at Sizzler, No response. I would suggest checking you food carefully if you eat there.
Look elsewhere. The steak had tons of grisle. I had the 'shrimp shrimp shrimp' platter. The regular fried shrimp was ok but it is hard to mess that up. There was some type of shrimp scampi on a tookpick over a bed of rice. This shrimp was very dry and flavorless. Then there were 3 'shrimp jalapeno' poppers'. You can get the same thing a 7-eleven for a lot cheaper. The plate presentation for both the steak and shrimp dinner was sloppy and unprofessional looking. The only thing I would recommend at a Sizzler is the salad bar. The entree's are not worth your hard earned money.
