MY Experience at this Golden Corral. My family and I went to Golden Corral for lunch and we were served by one of the coolest most efficient waiters I've EVER had. He came and checked on us regularly, kept our water glasses full, and even brought us a basket of dinner rolls. Even though there were many other people he served with a smile, he made us feel as if we were special. I would definitely go there again, though it is across the valley from my house. (Plus, ladies, he was a CUTIE...). The mac & cheese, meatloaf, honeydew, and especially dinner rolls were amazing. It was very much worthwhile to go there.
Check Your Receipt If In A Large Group. Visited Golden Corral on Thanksgiving Day 2010. There were nine individuals in our group and I paid with a credit card. I glanced at my receipt and the total count of individuals was correct so with tax the amount came to $107.26.which was outlinded in bold print. Our server was very effcient, cordial and attentive so I tipped her $25.00. Lo and behold I received my credit card statement and noticed a charge of $123.35. I took a closer look at my receipt and noticed down at the bottom the cashier had added a tip of $16.09. Yes, I should have looked at my receipt much closer but at the bottom of most business receipts there are numbers, dates, time of day etc; so I didn't pay attention and with the total printed in bold (before the tip) that is what drew my attention.
Attitude!Attitude!. Do not eat there! The cheese sauce was plastic, the food is disgusting and hard, the rolls were the only good food! I asked one of the managers why the food is hard and she gave me attitude, she was yelling at her employees in front of customers. The servers and the girls in front were sweet hearts. It is always dirty and the high chairs are scattered everywhere. do not eat here its gross
this place is just wrong. sanitation is greatly lacking, the place is a mess, the food is totally bland. parents let their kids loose to stick their fingers in the food on the serving tables. yuck. people 'working' there seem to think that's not a problem. what was i thinking going here?
Prices go up Fridays and Saturdays.
I work at this golden corral, and all in all it is a family friendly place to go for dinner. They have lots of choices, so everyone can get what they want. The only thing is the prices have gone up (13 & older are adults which cost $9.49 mon-thurs and sunday, $10.49 fridays and saturdays) seniors (60 and older) are $8.49 mon-thurs and sunday and $9.49 fridays and saturday. And drinks are $2.00 for adults. (seniors and kids drinks are included.)
Its usually extremely busy on the weekends, which means it gets really noisy. Most the staff is really nice (with the exception of a few b*tchy waitresses). Some of the customers are really rude, and some that come in are really scary looking, but I guess its west valley, what do you expect?
As an employee I see what happens behind the scenes, and I know for a fact that nothing shady goes on. The food is fine, the dishes are fine, and the staff that cooks the food does a good job.
better. I like their food better, but the ambiviance and some people skills need to be improved.
good food for the price. Food is always fresh and different choices available on different days. I particularly like the fact that they have added steak to the buffet.
Full Meal deal. I love taking my grandchildren on Tuesday's. Kids under 13yrs eat for $1.99. They actually have fun eating veggies at Golden Corral. The staff are great people and very attentive to the kids.sure beats hambuger and fries.
