interesting place. old fashion style restaurant with a store inside is fun for the kids and not a bad choice to eat at once in a while.
Really Bad Food. My family and I went out this past Friday. The food was absolutely disgusting. I ordered the 'Chicken and Dumplins', it was completely overcooked, flavorless goo. The side items were frozen/canned corn and overcooked sweetened carrots. My husband ordered the fried chicken. It was also flavorless and tough. He commented that he felt it had come frozen and they had thawed it out and fried it. My son had breakfast, the pancakes were okay- the side order of ham was wafer-thin and very fatty. I haven't ever had food that was this awful. None of the items had seasoning or spices and ALL had been overcooked. The service was alright (the manager was very friendly and accommodating), however I will NEVER eat there again. GROSS GROSS GROSS.
A little ole' country general store serving down-home foods and goods since 1969..
In Short
Originating in Lebanon Texas, this country store and restaurant has branched out all over the U.S. The décor includes old advertising signs, farm equipment, early kitchen appliances and photos which complement the country-style seating. Their menu includes home-style comfort foods like meatloaf and house-made mashed potatoes daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Make sure to stop into the gift shop for souvenirs and a variety of knick-knacks.
Great food and good place for kids. We love their food because of the range of choices, especially the side dishes. Everyone gets what they really want. The servers are always very helpful, and they are especially good with the kids. We keep going back because I am not afraid to take my kids there. It is fun to look in the store while waiting for our food or to play with their large oversized checkers game.
THE BEST!!!!. The best home-cooking anywhere and they do make their food from scratch. It is not frozen and then shipped to them.
consistant.
If you want a great breakfast, even at 9pm at night, try Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores...They are in most states east of Utah.
Great lunches and dinners too!
Country Delight. Coming from Kentucky, I appreciate the style of cooking that the Craker Barrel is famous for. I have enjoyed many meals at the Cracker Barrel from around the country and they are consistantly great. I will return as often as possible to this restaurant.
down home cookin'. I took my husband to "the cracker barrel" for Fathers day. He was skeptical at first, but once he started browsing the menu, he seemed pleased. By the looks of it, he was expecting a hudge portion, we were both surprised to see the small amount he was given. I would rate the overall presentation of the food very poor. The atmosphere was great, and I loved the store, but I dont think I will be visiting them again anytime soon.
