Great service, numerous vegetarian options. The service was great, the staff was very personal and attentive. The portions were large with good prices. The vegetarian options included enchiladas, quesadillas, and chimichungas. I'll be going back again for sure!

Always a great experience. The staff is extreemly friendly. They always welcome us with genuine smiles. The food is consitantly good, and the prices are very reasonable. Now that people have started to discover Jalisco's, it may be a little crowed on Friday evenings (although they recently expanded their dining area.)

Authentic. This is a Mexican restaurant by Mexicans. I had a carne asada burrito--very good. Excellent chips and salsa. An older building but very clean. There are better restaurants but this is a fine place to eat Mexican food.

The Best Mexican Restaurant!. I have been to many mexican restaurants in Utah, most had NO flavor, this was not extremely spicy, but it wasn't bland. Most places taste like they put ketchup on their food! This was divine, and inexpensive! For 3 people it averages $20-$27!

Don't let the bland exterior fool you--an inviting Mexican dining experience awaits inside..
The Scene
Jalisco sits parallel to bustling Redwood Road in a white brick building devoid of the colorful charm associated with Mexican fare. Nevertheless, it's surprisingly open and inviting inside. With vaulted ceilings, large bay windows, vivid painting of rural Mexican culture and the sounds of Tejano music drifting from the kitchen, it feels like a quaint diner in the heart of Mexico.
The Food
All the standard faves--enchiladas, tamales, burritos, tacos and chimichangas--are here, ready to satisfy your expectations for great Mexican food. Taquitos in particular make for an amazing appetizer. They're soft and chewy, not crisp and hard, like deep-fried "gringo" versions, although three seems hardly enough for $4.60. The real standout on the menu, however, is Mexican-style breaded steak. Thinly cut, breaded and lightly spiced before being pan-fried, the Milanesa is a surprisingly refreshing take on typical sirloin, making the chicken tamales and tacos seem bland in comparison.
