Do it yourself stir fry can't be beat!. The 'Dragon Grill' is the do it yourself stir fry option at Charlie Chow's, and it is a favorite of mine. There are multiple rice, noodle, fresh veggies, tofu, sauces, meats, etc to include in your stir fry. I highly recommend the coconut curry sauces or the house and black bean sauces combined. It's fun and delicious! The only drawback is the rest of the menu. Mediocre food. But why go there for anything other than the Dragon Grill?

Typical Chinese restaurant.. Seated promptly. Our booth and table were not wiped down that well. Service was good. Ordered off lunch menu. Orange chicken and Sweet and Sour chicken were typical of Chinese restaurants. Spent the extra dollar for an egg roll. The egg roll was tiny and flavorless( especially considering the price). I did enjoy the chow mein, bean sprout stir fry. Fortune cookies were partially dipped in chocolate which I had not encountered before and they were delicious.

Excellent. Because of its location it doesnt get hammered with business.

It is the best chinese food in the city. No-one else compares and I've tried most.

The flavors, sauces are a living entity.

The food is made FRESH on the spot. You can see it being cooked.

Kids enjoy it supremely. The servers cater to what you want.

Love the Mongolian BBQ. Great place to eat downtown... great food, good/clean environment and reasonable prices. Service is also good (relative to other asian places). Never too long of a wait and parking is decent for downtown (they have covered parking in the back). The Mongolia BBQ (Dragon Grill) is the best option... it allows for a customized rice / noodle concoction.

All you can eat allows you to experiment. I really like this restaurant for make your own Grill. The ingredients are very fresh, the meat is kept behind the counter with the chef, the rice and noodles are never over cooked or old. Sometimes this place could be a little cleaner, but I think it is fun dinner and only a tiny bit over priced.

not the greatest. the food was kind of bland and over expensive. I wasn't really impressed with it. i ordered the seseame chicken and was very very disappointed. .

Makes it worth visiting downtown.. Definitely the best General Tao's chicken I have ever tasted, they call it Imperial Chicken for some reason. It is lightly breaded and full of flavor. LARGE PORTIONS, you'll have left overs for sure if you order from the menu.

The Dragon Grill is another one of my favorites over at Charlie Chows. Unlike other Mongolian Grills, everything is fresh and their sauces are homemade. I have yet to try all of their sauces since they have over 20, I'm guessing. The sauce that got me hooked was the Charlie Chow sauce. Of course, it is all you can eat.

My wife love their Firecracker Shrimp Noodle and Fantail Shrimp roll with the Honey Mustard (might have to ask for the sauce). The Fantail Shrimp roll with the Honey Mustard is great.

Parking is on the upper level for lunch. Dinner, you can park anywhere on the main level.

Great deal. The only way to go at charlie chow's is to get the make-it-yourself mongolian bbq type dish. You get to pick your veggies, noodles if you want, sauce and then a meat and the wok-fry it for you. It is so good. it's all you can eat. So you can make many combinations if you want. This is the best value in the place, do not order of the menu unless you want wonton soup or something to go with it. A great place. You are also in and out very quickly. Never too busy.

Located on 400 South, the casual air at Charlie Chow's attracts a variety of diners, from people working downtown to hungry high-schoolers.

The Food
Begin with a generous cup of the hot-and-sour soup, thick with tofu and mushrooms, and served with crispy noodles ($2.99). Entrées are primarily Chinese dishes--lemon chicken ($9.95), sweet and pungent pork ($8.99), and Szechuan beef ($8.99). There are other Asian specialties like Malaysian satay ($8.50), pad thai noodles ($8.50), and coconut shrimp with a hot Thai dipping sauce ($10.99). Entrées are served family style with steamed rice, all of the dishes come mounded high.

If you are feeling creative, order the Dragon Grill ($10.95, or $4.95 for children under 12). Fill a bowl with your favorite noodles, vegetables, sauces and meats and the chef will cook your creation to order.
