The Scene
The art-nouveau decor is very simple. Two small dining rooms sport white-linen-clothed tables, and white walls with bright colored "confetti" stripes of purple, yellow, and blue scattered on beams and ceilings. Black high-backed chairs feature three thin prongs that look like the tines of a fork. A small outside patio spreads beneath a huge cottonwood tree.

The Food
The split-personality menu features Italian favorites like eggplant parmigiana, chicken picatta and gnocchi alongside Middle Eastern dishes like chicken couscous, hummus bi Tahini, and falafel.

The Meza plate ($9.99) is the best way to taste a variety of Mediterranean appetizers: the pesto-stuffed mushroom, grape leaves, hummus, baba ghanoush, and pita bread. The flavor of the mushroom was delicious and the pesto, mixed with Asiago cheese, was as fresh as can be. The hummus was smooth and garlicky. The grape leaves were warm and filled with rice, tomato, and fresh herbs, most notably mint.

I went there for Valentine's Day and had selected it from a list of well known restaurant: La Caille, 23rd floor, ... at first after I saw the pictures on the website I was a bit unsure if I want to go there for V-day but when I went there to check it out a day before V-day and after meeting the owners, I knew it is going to be a great location. I had asked the owners to set up the table with flowers and confetti decorations which I had provided them earlier. And when we arrived at V-day, everything was set as I had asked them to. They are very hospitable, the food is great, they have good wine selections, and overall we had a great time. I will definitely go back there again, and you should to.

This is a hidden treasure of Holladay. I frequent Confetti's at least once a week . The personable service is exemplary! The specials such as the Rib Eye Steack with Gorgonzola cream sauce is amazing! The steak is done to perfection with just a little bit of pink and the sauce is terrificly decadent. In the summer the Caprese salad is the tops, the tomatoes come straight from their garden. Their Falafel is unbeatable and the Chicken Curry Soup is always a nice hot surprise on a cold night plus the warm bread is great for dunking! Every time I go there I feel as if I am stepping in to a close friend's home for dinner it is so welcoming. I hope this restaurant is around for a long time!
