The Scene – Cafe de Normandie is an extention of the popular Bakers de Normandie. If you have ever entered the bakery on seventh east you'll love the new addition in Holladay; with the French country atmosphere you almost immediately feel at home. And the smells that emanate from the cafe will make the most insensitive of palates sit up and take notice. – – The Food – Cafe de Normandie features daily soup and quiche specials. Sandwiches made from bread baked fresh that morning in the bakery.
Are you ready for an experience

Lunch at the Normandie was an experience. The food was good and the pastries looked wonderful. Let’s talk about service. There is none. We stood in line for at least 15 minutes to give our order. Behind the counter completely lacked organization…this was not controlled chaos, just plain chaos. The food came one plate at a time as well as our drinks. We had to get up 3 times asking for silverware and napkins. They never arrived.
Finally, one of us went to the bathroom and got papers towels. They definitely need some organization. The service was a running joke our entire meal. It is such a shame. It is a nice area with indoor and outdoor tables and the food was good. Be sure to order the sweet potato fries if you attempt their dining experience.
- Pros: Good food, good location, yummy pastries
- Cons: Absolutely the worst service

WOW.....what a beautiful, relaxing, delicious time we had. Normandies was beyond our expectations, excellent food, great atmosphere and very friendly. Best place in Holladay.
excellent food, poor service

Took my wife there for a lunch date at 11:30 on a Saturday. Menu and board said brunch ended at 11, but they were still serving and told my wife her sandwich would take longer since lunch menu didn't start until noon (who starts a lunch menu @ noon?).
We seated ourselves on the patio (very nice). No one checked on us for 5-10 minutes. When they did, we asked for silverware, water and the bread that comes w/ the meal. 5-10 minutes later, my wife's food arrived (not mine...)....still no water or silverware. Next, my food came and we scavenged some silverware from the table next to us. Asked again for water and bread. Finally received both water and bread.
Food was great. Service was terrible. Prices are slightly high. Would get take-out the next time...
- Pros: food
- Cons: service
