Honeymoon Disaster

We decided to go through Christopherson to plan our honeymoon. We had a decent amount of money to spend and their "specialist"suggested the Fijian islands. It ended up being a BIG MISTAKE. Our list of tribulations was very long (I will avoided assaulting you with a "wall of text"). For example, one of the "five star" resorts they set us up at ended up being overrun with biting insects (even in the bed... which works out great on a honeymoon) and other nasties. They also vastly misrepresented what was included in the package they set up (resulting in us having to spend a lot more than we anticipated). When we got back we immediately called Christopherson management to complain about the experience. We got brushed off (even openly laughed at) when we described what we had been through. They shifted the blame to the Fijian resorts themselves and said such conditions "were to be expected." Even if waking up to swarms of spiders within a severely mold and mildew ridden bathroom is a common feature of Fijian honeymoons (laugh), it would have been nice to know what to expect beforehand. We feel they greatly betrayed our trust and were severely negligent in the care they took to ensure a positive travel experience (especially for a honeymoon; nothing like being stranded on an island!). Do yourself a favor and go to a different travel agency for your pleasurable travel needs.
