The Red Iguana is sooo good. I had heard about it for years and never tried it out until recently. Damn did I miss out. The food is great and I love that they have the live music that goes around from table to table.
Favorite. Our weekend tradition. You can never go wrong at the Red Iguana!
Only Mexican Food. This is the only Mexican restaurant we need here. Coming from Arizona, I am pretty darn picky and this restaurant never ceases to deliver. Their moles are amazing and the staff is so friendly!
Arguably the best Mexican food in Utah.
This restaurant can get quite busy, but it's worth the wait. The first time you go you should definitely ask to sample the mole sauces and they'll bring you a plate with small samples of 5 or 6 of the 8 or so moles they serve.
I'm vegetarian and would suggest either the enchiladas which come with a lovely mole on top, or the vegi fajitas which come out on a sizzling platter along with fresh flour tortillas, guacamole, pico de gallo, and sour cream. I suggest ordering a side of rice and beans with this and sharing it with someone.
My mom and dad have tried many of the non-vegetarian items on the menu and say they loved everything they have tried
Just OK. I don't see what all the fuss is about. It was ok I guess. Definitely not worth waiting for an hour to eat
Excellent Food, and Reasonable Prices!. This is a great restaurant! It's a diner, and the food has a great flavor. Prices are a little higher than your typical "Mexican" restaurant but the wait staff, and food was very tasty. I'm typically not a fan of Mexican food, but I have to put this on my list as one place I will return to. We had a great lunch and recommend going not during lunch rush so you can be seated faster.
AMAZING!!!!!!!!!. I am originally from California and part hispanic...so needless to say I have high standards when it comes to Mexican food... This place was AMAZING. There were a ton of people waiting for a table but it only took about 10mins to get seated. Our waitress was great, always there when you needed her but never when you didnt. I ordered a margarita which was STRONG, i enjoyed that lol. They did mess up the order a bit but as soon as i mentioned it our waitress got it fixed. After that a manager stopped by to check on us and I was justvery impressed. And for those of you who dont know The Red Iguana was on an episode of DIners, Drives and Dives on the Food Network. Even the prices here are great. I will go back there any day
Offensive Service, not for families!.
We went there this past weekend for my birthday. I had been looking forward to trying Red Iguana after hearing all the great stuff about it. However, when we walked in with 4 out of 5 members of our party (my brother, who is chronically late for everything wasn't there yet) the 'hostess' told us to wait outside (in the sun at noon - 93 degree weather) until my brother showed up.
I have a 3 year old daughter who was very hungry and rather than sit outside in the hot sun (no shade, direct sun), we opted to go elsewhere.
I find this treatment of customers to be offensive and nothing less than rude. Their food may be good but I won't give my business to a company that treats its customers in such a way.
