Dishonest staff. I have brought my 3 year old son to daycare and he was assigned to a group of 4 and 5 year olds because he was potty trained (?) later, I was told that kids get into the younger group on first come first served basis. As I was getting ready to leave, his teacher had left for lunch without notifying a substitute teacher or me. I found her myself and explained that my son was new. When I picked him up at 5pm, he was asleep on the floor, kids jumping around him, -he had cried himself to sleep.

Originally, I wanted to sign him up because there were two boys he knew, but , even though they were older, they were in a 3 year old group. I was told that one of the kids would be in his group, but, after I talked to his parent, I found out that he was in a younger group after all.

The place is really affordable but the staff, except for one teacher, is just dishonest.

Amazing Childcare for first time mothers!!. I have had my now 4 year old daughter with Lit'l Scholars since she was 6 weeks old. And as a new mother it was very hard to leave my child to be cared for by others. But all of the staff including the managers not only made me feel a lot better about leaving her (which was super hard as a first time mother), they were great about me calling several times a day and really did not seem to mind and gave me honest updates. I have also seen the daycare as a whole improve over the past 4 years, they have updated the classrooms, playgrounds, and gym areas with new carpet, paint, toys and equipment. I have also seen improvement on staff turn over and quality(which in the beginning was a little scary). Now I feel great leaving my little girl with them and I don't feel the need call and get updates. With all the improvements they have made over the years and fact that they seem to be making a constant effort in being better and more than just babysitters, I feel that I will have my daughter here as long as I can. I would recommend this child care center to first time mothers and parents looking for caring and loving people to watch after their children.

Loving staff, a bargain at twice the price. We've had our baby girl here for nearly two years, from 3 months to two years. The staff turnover has been low, the staff have an honest rapport with my girl, and she loves her friends at "school". When we pick up our girl, we'll usually sit and read to all her friends - they have a lot of books!

They serve nutritious food, do lots of crafts with the "little ones" and there is racial/S.E.S. diversity in the center. Given that this is Utah, that's saying something. It's VERY important to us that our daughter grows in a diverse environment.

The center gives you a great value - the director gets a lot of federal grants to improve the facility and programs. I've looked into other programs, up to $1200/month, and the offerings are similar. The center even offers free CPR/First aid classes to one parent for free. We pay $625/month for our toddler.

For babies and toddlers, all that matters is love, safety, and fun. My child has had nothing but those three positive experiences at the center.

Great facility & caring staff. I've had my children here for several years. I'm happy to have my children in this facility where they have a very large indoor gym for activities all year round. My children (4 and 8) have shared some of the same teachers - several of the staff have worked here for years and years.

There is generally a high turnover rate for daycare teachers, and it's true there are times when we've had to deal with that too, however, it's going to be the same at virtually any daycare. There are so many teachers here who have worked for so long, that it makes up a bit for these uncommon changes in staff. We also paid bigger bucks for a name brand place, and the care at Lit'l Scholars vastly excels over some of the other trendy places.

Things I love about this place: new playground, afterschool activities with choices such as dance, karate, science activities and art/reading. There are extended hours (7am-7pm) which works best for our schedule. There's a good deal of diversity. As to the cleanliness - it would be worth a visit. Anytime I've smelled something it was either food from breakfast or lunch or pinesol.

I've noticed the prior reviews seem slanted toward some grumpy people who didn't even allow their children to adjust. Starting a new daycare will always present some transitional challenges. Not all of the fault lies with the provider, and I feel the reviews do not reflect the service I've enjoyed for years.

Okay but not great. I put my two year old here for about 3 weeks. There is nothing wrong with the place and the people seemed nice enough but my child just didn't seem to like it. I heard one care giver dismiss a child who asked to have his diaper changed and my husband heard another teacher (from another class) yell at a child for not sitting down. I don't think they harmed my child but I don't think they went out of their way to love her either. So, while I wouldn't think you were neglecting your child if you sent her here, I am not sure if it is the best you can get for the money.
